Must Read

Kerala is known for its rich cultural heritage and traditions. The state is famous for its temples, which are a symbol of the Hindu Dharma and an integral part of Kerala’s heritage. However, there are some disturbing reports emerging from Kerala, where members of the Communist Party are defiling the sanctity of our temples by carefully playing with traditions and looting wealth.

This report submitted in Supreme Court needs to be known by every Hindu of the country.

What is the Issue?

In his most recent legal report, Justice K.T. Sankaran said that the communist government in Kerala is stealing our Temple wealth without any shame. The report said that there was corruption in getting pooja items, that fake materials were made with dangerous chemicals and repairs and maintenance were not done well. Adding to that, the sacred vibhuti which is distributed is not prepared accordingly. K Radhakrishnan, the minister of Kerala Devaswom, is a known Hindu-hater.

While Kerala is known for its Dharmic traditions, but the sanctity is hijacked by the communist order of the state. However, the recent events in Kerala are alarming. It is reported that members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPM, which is the ruling party in Kerala, are responsible for looting the wealth of Hindu temples. The report states that the income from the temples is going in the pockets of Communist leaders and activists.

Communists playing with Hindu traditions

Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) manages around 1200 temples. Including the boards like Malabar Devaswom Board, Guruvayur Devaswom Board, Cochin Devaswom Board run around 3000 temples.

Basically, over the years they have collected so much wealth which has not been audited. And it is a known fact that this wealth is not used for Hindu welfare. While, Hundis are under the encroachment of the politicians.

According to the report of Hindupost, “rotten halal-certified jaggery and pesticide-laced cardamom used in Prasadam at the Sabarimala temple. The communist government in Kerala still auctions anything donated by devotees that belong to temples under the TDB.”

This report also details how the low-quality construction of temples in the name of renovation has become dangerous. Salaries are not paid properly to the staff. Along with that, the repair and maintenance activities are not taken seriously by the board. The PWD department is headed by minister P.A Mohammad Riyas.

Suggestions given by Justice Sankaran

Justice Sankaran’s report suggests that opinions of the sadhus and saints to be asked. Local Hindus said that they, too, should be able to help run their temples. Many problems with our temples, especially the smaller ones, could be fixed with the help of well-known Hindus who do a social audit. Moreover, use of proper cow-ghee and coconut oil to light lamps in the garbhagriha is a suggestion.

Conclusion

This atrocious situation created by communist regime is a complete mockery of Hindus. Temples are the epicentre of Dharma. And communists are playing their legit game of tarnishing the sanctity. But, looking forward to Supreme Court for any constructive approach to this severe attack on Dharma is not very promising. Now is the time to take forward the Free Hindu Temple movement.
