Radical Muslims Take Over Bangladesh: Brutal Attacks on Minorities
Bangladesh is fast descending into chaos as radical Muslims begin to dominate every aspect of the country’s society, including the military. On September 19, Muslim mobs launched violent attacks against the Chakma and Tripuri communities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The mob destroyed over 200 homes and shops, targeting both Hindus and Buddhists.
Local reports revealed that the attacks were not just random incidents of violence. Instead, the mobs received backing from high-ranking military officials, including a brigadier of the Bangladesh Army. This shocking revelation has raised alarms that even the military is now involved in the ongoing purge against minorities. This isn’t the first instance of military complicity. Witnesses reported army personnel stood by as houses burned, refusing to intervene.

Growing Jihadi Influence in the Bangladesh Military
The situation in Bangladesh has grown increasingly dire since the coup of the Sheikh Hasina government. Radical Muslim elements have taken control, filling the power vacuum. From influencing policy to supporting violent mobs, radical groups have woven themselves into the fabric of Bangladeshi society.
Even before this, the Chakma and Tripuri communities had suffered discrimination. But with a jihadi takeover now evident, the threats have reached unprecedented levels. Recent attacks follow a pattern of targeting minorities to instill fear and force conversions. In areas like Dighinala, Rangamati, and Khagrachhari, Muslim mobs have systematically destroyed homes and businesses belonging to non-Muslim minorities.
Media and Government Denial
Meanwhile, Bangladeshi media outlets are busy downplaying the religious motivations behind these attacks. Reports have conveniently labeled the violence as a “tribal conflict,” discounting the fact that Muslim mobs attacked Hindu and Buddhist communities. This narrative seeks to shield the true nature of these assaults and protect those responsible. With the media complicit in misinformation, the international community remains largely unaware of the radical transformation taking place in Bangladesh.
The Worsening Economic Situation of Bangladesh
In the backdrop of these violent attacks is Bangladesh’s collapsing economy. Factories and businesses have been set ablaze by mobs, not just for religious reasons, but due to differing political affiliations. Economic conditions are at their worst, and instead of uniting the country, radical elements are using this crisis to further divide society along religious lines. These conditions resemble those in Syria or Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, where extremist ideologies have taken hold amidst chaos.
Bangladesh on the Brink
The current situation in Bangladesh leaves little room for hope. The radical Muslim takeover appears inevitable, and the country is fast heading toward total anarchy. The situation has striking similarities with the rise of the Taliban or ISIS, where the Hijab became mandatory, women we not allowed to go to school, and minorities were systematically purged. If the international community doesn’t act, Bangladesh’s future will be one of intolerance and widespread persecution.

Minorities will continue to face hardships and killings, and it does not seem like anyone in Bangladesh is interested in stopping these atrocities. Until the world takes cognizance and acts strictly against these jihadis, minorities will continue to face persecution.
