Anti-Khalistani Leader Brutally Assaulted in Ambala

In broad daylight outside Gurudwara Shri Panjokhra Sahib in Ambala, Haryana, a brutal scene unfolded that highlights the harrowing reality facing outspoken nationalists in the country today. Gursimran Singh Mand, the chief of the International Anti-Khalistani Terrorist Front (IAKTF), along with his young son and security personnel, was ambushed and violently assaulted by a mob wielding swords, sticks, bricks, and sharp weapons.

The attackers did not just aim to cause physical harm—they attempted to break his spirit. At weapon-point, as swords were swung and his vehicle’s windows were smashed to pieces, the mob tried to force Mand to raise anti-national slogans, including “Modi Murdabad”, “RSS Murdabad”, and pro-Khalistani chants demanding the release of radical figures like Amritpal Singh.

Ambushed at the Gates

Gursimran Mand had driven to Gurudwara Shri Panjokhra Sahib, located 10 km from Ambala City, simply to offer prayers. What was meant to be a peaceful visit turned into a coordinated assault as a crowd rapidly swelled from ten to nearly fifty individuals, including radicalized local youths and Nihang Sikhs.

The violence was brutal and relentless. Mand’s car was surrounded, smashed, and looted while security personnel fought desperately to keep the mob from lynching him on the road.

Speaking from his hospital bed at the Civil Hospital in Ambala, where he was admitted with severe head injuries, arm fractures, and broken teeth, Mand laid bare the ideological motive behind the attack:

“They attacked me because I speak in favor of the Prime Minister, and against Khalistan. They asked me to raise slogans against the Prime Minister and the RSS, and get Amritpal Singh and others released from jails. They forced me to raise slogans of ‘Modi Murdabad’, ‘RSS Murdabad’, ‘Khalistan Zindabad’, and ‘Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale Zindabad’. They snatched all my belongings. If Haryana Police had not rescued me, I would have been killed.”
