The REAL Kerala Story is the celebration of a morally bankrupt murderer. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan celebrates the collection of 34 crore by a massive crowdfunding drive to secure the release of Abdul Rahim. He used this drive to mock the Bollywood movie that unmasked the massive ISIS bride reality of Kerala.
However, the drive is a slap across honest Malayalis. Saudi Arabia put Kozhikode native Abdul Rahim on death row for murder!!! CM Pinarayi’s hailing of the crowdfunding campaign as “The Real Kerala Story” is drawing extreme condemnation. Let’s discuss the death of morals in the face of CPI(M) head honcho CM Pinaryi’s celebrations.
CM Pinarayi’s Callous Celebration Of A Murderer
In the face of relentless hate campaigns targeting Kerala, the indomitable spirit of Malayalis shines through, upholding together Kerala's resilience and compassion.

CPI(M) and CM Pinarayi tweeted ‘The Real Kerala Story’ on Rahim’s crowdfunding. The tweet showcased the successful crowdfunding as the unity among the people of Kerala.
Phrasing it as the large-heartedness of Malayali people, CM Pinrayi’s tweet showcased the crowdfunding drive for Abdul Rahim’s ‘DIYA’ or ‘BLOOD MONEY’ as a noble and virtuous cause.
However, by drawing parallels to the Bollywood movie “THE KERALA STORY,” Kerala CM tried his hand at wordplay to shame a movie made on the rampant ISIS drive prevalent in the state. However, instead of portraying resilience and compassion, CM Vijayan’s celebration of Rahim’s release questions the state of morality and justice in Kerala. Why? Because Abdul Rahim was sentenced to death for MURDER!!!!
Abdul Rahim – Murderer Of An Innocent! Â
Abdul Rahim is a proven murderer in the Saudi court. His job was of a driver and caretaker of a differently-abled teenager. During the course of his duty, Abdul Rahim detached the medical device that assisted this differently-abled teenager in breathing! He willfully and directly caused the death of an innocent, disabled child who was placed in his care.
In 2018, the courts of Saudi Arabia convicted Abdul Rahim to death for the unprovoked murder of an innocent human being.
However, guilty Abdul Rahim’s execution was put on hold. The victim’s family agreed to accept the Islamic custom of Diya (or blood money) amounting to approximately Rs 34 crore.Â
What is Diya?
It is the money paid to the victim or heirs of a victim in the cases of murder. Usually, it is applicable if bodily harm or property damage is committed by mistake.
Was Abdul Rahim unaware that death would follow if breathing equipment was taken off? Why did he harm this differently-abled child? Does he deserve clemency by having the people of Kerala contribute to pay for his crime?
The Real Kerala Story or Shame?
The compassionate ‘peacefuls’ put up a crowdfunding campaign to assist Abdul Rahim’s family in collecting the ‘DIYA’ money. They set up an app as well to facilitate ease of transfer.
Thus, the BLOOD MONEY deal, facilitated by a crowdfunding campaign, has been hailed by Vijayan as a symbol of Kerala’s resilience and compassion.
However, this celebration of Rahim’s release ignores the gravity of his crime. Is CM Pinarayi unaware of the depth of Rahim’s crime? Can paying 34 crores absolve someone of murder? Is it okay to celebrate the possible release of a person who inflicted pain upon the innocent victim’s family?
CM Pinarayi’s message implies that Kerala condones and even celebrates a murderer. By framing Rahim’s release as a triumph of Kerala’s values, the CM disregards the suffering of the victim and his loved ones, who live with the irrevocably damage caused by Abdul Rahim’s actions.
Therefore, Bharat asks if this is the correct use of crowdfunding.
Is it necessary to secure Rahim’s release by asking Malayalis to pay for his crimes? Unity in any state or community is commendable. However, the community should not aspire to unite in support of murderr! It sets a dangerous precedent in the minds of the common man. Moreover, it showcases that murders as heroes in society. Thereby, promoting moral depravity in society. Additionally, it also shows that honest Malayalis paid-up to free a ‘peaceful’ from the consequnces of his crime! Thus, the Kerala CM needs to ask if this is Kerala’s story or Kerala’s shame.
