Weary of Ganesha’s tricks and ‘Vighna’, the deities beseeched Lord Brahma for help. Thus, Brahma created his two daughters Riddhi, prosperity and good fortune, and Siddhi, spiritual knowledge and prowess. He took both the gentle ladies to Lord Ganesha’s abode and sought his guidance in educating them. The naughty lord was tied down by the task of teaching two young women. Thereby, allowing the deities to perform their Vivaha in peace and tranquility.
