The Kanwar Yatra this year is a storm of litigation and allegations. The CM Yogi administration asked street vendors and shop owners to proudly and honestly display their names and licenses. However, the Le-Li ‘sickular’ gang turned this directive into a communal and casteist controversy. Despite their noise, in response to the need of the Sanatani Bhakts and society; Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh also answered the call to demand honesty and transparency from shops on the Kanwar Yatra route.
The extremely litigious Le-Li ‘sickular’ gang went to the MiLords of the Supreme Court and earned a stay on the directive. However, the SC asked the government to request only mandatory disclosure of names during the stay. While the governments and courts iron the nitty-gritty of the directive and its need, the Sanatani society has found a way around the debate. A new symbol of trust and faith has emerged on the Kanwar Yatra route: the Varaha Avatar of Vishnu Bhagwan.

The Supreme Court’s decision to stay the directive in UP, requesting that name and license be displayed, has ignited a fierce debate. The UP government states in the court that these directives are not discriminatory in any way. The directives in UP, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh do not seek to create a bias using religion or caste. Instead, they aim to ensure the piety, safety, and sanctity of the food consumed by Kanwadiyas.
However, the Le-Li ‘sickular’ gang has used communal and casteist narratives to influence the Supreme Court’s decision.
They firmly argue that these directives unfairly target Muslim vendors and create a divisive atmosphere against the lower castes. However, it is important to note that no Muslim shopkeeper was banned from setting up shop on the Kanwar Yatra route. Nor were Hindu shopkeepers asked to disclose their caste by the administrations. The only intention behind the directive in UP was to ensure that Kanwadiyas felt secure in consuming clean and satvik food while they completed their pilgrimage. If a Muslim shop owner proudly promises Satvik food, Kanwadiyas would have no hesitation in purchasing from him. Therefore, the narrative presented by the Le-Li gang is misleading and fallacious. They are the true reason for the communal divide in Bharat!
Ensuring Food Safety and Religious Sanctity
The FSSAI mandates that shop owners display their licenses in clear view of customers. Additionally, it grants licenses, and reviews them periodically and via spot-checks, after ensuring that hygiene and safety standards are met. Therefore, the CM Yogi administration’s directive for name and license display aligns with these FSSAI guidelines. They aims to promote transparency as well as protect the sanctity of the food consumed by the devout Kanwadiyas.
The Supreme Court’s stay on this directive gives a long rope to extremists that entertain the vile thoughts of harming communal harmony.
It creates a potential for miscreants and zealots to serve non-Satvik food, including Halal, which does not align with the religious dietary practices of the Kanwadiyas. The Kanwadiyas’ only requirement was to have a clear assurance that the food they consume is prepared following proper sanitation practices and is in line with their religious beliefs. The stay on the directive, influenced by false communal and casteist arguments, overlooks the primary concern of food safety and religious sanctity.
Varaha Avatar: A Symbol Of Hope On Kanwar Yatra
Disappointed with the judicial stay and despondent due to legal trials facing Hindus’ religion, the Sanatani society resorted to the path of Dharma. To ensure sanctity and piety, Hindu vendors have started displaying images of Vishnu Bhagwan’s Varaha Avatar.
The proud display of Varaha Avatar proclaims their faith proudly and loudly in deep resonance with the pilgrimage of the Kanwar Yatra.
Thus, murti or pratima or chitra of Varaha Avatar serves as a powerful and subtle assurance to the Kanwariyas that the food being sold is Satvik and prepared following proper sanitation practices. Islam considers pigs unclean, so Muslim vendors would not display images of the Varaha Avatar. Why? Because Varaha Avatar depicts Bhagwan Vishnu in the form of a सुकर. Thereby, making it a clear and reliable marker for the devout Kanwadiyas.
This innovative solution addresses the trust issues within the bounds of freedom of religion. It allows Hindu shopkeepers to proudly display their commitment to serving pure and sanctified food. Consequently, this Kanwar Yatra, the Varaha Avatar images have become a symbol of trust, honesty, and adherence to religious dietary standards, subtly resolving the controversy without escalating communal tensions.
Call for Unity and Honesty
The Le-Li gang’s narrative has transformed a straightforward directive into an unnecessary communal conflict. A Kanwadiya would be happy to consume assured Satvik food from any vendor. However, the Le-Li gang’s legal theatrics have pushed all the wrong buttons for Hindus. Now in order to demand food safety and respect for religious sentiments, Kanwadiyas will only do business with shops with Varaha Avatar on display. This unique solution provides a way for Hindus pilgrims to ensure that Satvik standards are met without involving the judiciary or the government.
The Varaha Avatar is now a symbol that proclaims transparency, respect, and unity among Hindu vendors along the Kanwar Yatra route.
However, this solution will leave the Muslim vendors in a fix. They will lose the business and trust of their Hindu customer base. By coloring a directive on transparency in the colors of communal discrimination, the Le-Li gang has united the Hindus. Sanatanis were forced to come up with a solution that would ensure the purity of food. Unfortunately, this solution will male Muslim vendors to bear the brunt of an involuntary boycott.
Therefore, by conflating honesty and transparency with communalism and casteism; the Le-Li gang has harmed the Muslims on the Kanwar Yatra route.
In conclusion, the Varaha Avatar symbol provides a dignified and effective solution to the Kanwar Yatra nameplate controversy. It unites Hindus and protects their religious practices. All the while, it ensures that the Kanwadiyas can undertake their spiritual journey with peace of mind. The attempt to decry the need for nameplates by the Le-Li gang has backfired badly. As the Hindu community rallies to protect their right to practice their faith with honesty and integrity. The chants of ‘Jai Bholenath’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’ resonate with the answering call of ‘Om Namo Narayana’!
