The Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala is revered as one of the holiest sites for Hindus worldwide. The sacred Laddu prasadam offered here is considered divine, representing the deity’s blessings. However, CM Naidu recently made shocking accusations against the YSRCP government.
CM Naidu accuses the previous administration of substandard ingredients, including animal fat, for making the Tirumala Laddus.
CM Naidu’s statement was made during an NDA meeting. And these sensational accusations have triggered a storm! “They used animal fat instead of ghee in the Tirumala Laddu. This is sacrilege,” said CM Naidu! Additionally, he states that the quality of the prasadam had severely deteriorated. Thereby, stating that the Reddy government betrayed the faith of millions of Sanatani devotees of Tirumalla.
Moreover, he emphasized that the current administration has restored the quality by ensuring the use of pure ghee and improving food standards at the temple.
However, this claim struck a nerve with the devotees and ignited a storm of controversy. For Sanatanis, the very thought of non-vegetarian substances in offerings to Lord Venkateswara is unthinkable. Thus, the alleged actions of the previous government show their deep contempt for the essence of Hindu faith and tradition.

The YSR Congress Party, led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, responded sharply to CM Naidu’s claims. YV Subba Reddy, a senior YSRCP leader and former chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams strongly refuted the allegations. The YSRCP is calling these allegations “malicious” and “vile.”
“Naidu has committed a great sin by damaging the sanctity of the temple and the faith of crores of Hindus,” Subba Reddy said.
The leader went further, challenging CM Naidu to take an oath along with his family in front of Lord Venkateswara to prove the truth of his claims. Currently, the question that lingers is whether Naidu will accept the challenge. This showdown of oaths which could either reinforce his allegations or expose them as political rhetoric.

Subba Reddy also defended his tenure as TTD chairman by stating that there was never any compromise in the quality of the prasadam. Additionally, they accuse CM Naidu of stooping to any level for political gain. The YSRCP, despite many election promises, is often criticized for not upholding the values that safeguard Hindu dharma. Instead, under YSRCP rule the Christian conversion gangs worked with an added aggression and aplomb!
