BJP Haryana Accuses Congress Of A New “Guarantee Card” Scam!

Must Read

As Haryana gears up for elections, BJP Haryana accuses the Congress party of using a familiar strategy. They state that INC is issuing “Guarantee Cards” filled with lofty promises arguably designed to mislead voters rather than deliver actual results. After a similar “Khatakhat Tactic” in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress is now promising land plots and houses to Haryanvi voters, hoping to replicate its so-called success. But is this a smart electoral move or another case of empty guarantees that will hurt the state’s future? Let’s talk!

Haryana Faces Congress Ki “Khatakhat” Legacy: Fool Me Once?

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections saw Congress roll out the “Khatakhat Card” in UP and Karnataka. This document was full of promises aimed at wooing voters with cash offers. The Khatakhat Guarantee Card, which proposed ₹8500 for every woman, never materialized. Why? Because the fine print of forming the government was never revealed to the voters. Therefore, post 4th June 2024, thousands of women voters were left frustrated waiting for the promised amount that never came into their accounts!

The Haryana Congress appears to be repeating the playbook, with new promises that include 100-yard land plots and two-room houses worth 3.5 Lakhs for BPL families!

Thankfully, the BJP Haryana has uncovered this document and has vocally opposed the strategy. They describe it as a ploy to deceive voters yet again, however, the Congress leadership seems unfazed. Therefore, it is crucial to ask whether the people of Haryana will fall for the same electoral trap that Congress set in General elections. By offering populist guarantees that have a track record of non-delivery, Congress runs the risk of bankrupting yet another state through its ill-thought-out schemes!

Karnataka and Himachal: A Warning to Haryana Voters

The BJP’s critique of Congress’s strategy is not without basis. The “Congress Ki Guarantee” that won INC the right to rule Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh has left both states financially crippled. Once thriving economically, Karnataka is now struggling under the weight of debt incurred by these populist promises. The prices of milk to petrol have increased under the INC administration! Even government employees in both states have faced payment delays! Budget cuts, stalled infrastructure development, and anti-Hindu politics have become the norm in INC-ruled states.

Thus, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh administrations fail to finance governance under the burden of unmanageable guarantees!

The Karnataka model of governance, where Congress promised sweeping reforms and financial aid, now serves as a cautionary tale. The Himachal Pradesh experience, where populist guarantees pushed the state into complete financial ruin, further underscores the danger of relying on these cards for political gains.

If these “Guarantee Schemes” have already destabilized two flourishing states, the question remains: Will Haryana be next?

Fake Forms and False Promises: A Pattern Emerges

According to reports from BJP Haryana, Congress’s strategy now includes the distribution of fake forms. They state that INC allegedly asks voters to submit their family IDs to be eligible for the promised land and houses. This tactic is eerily reminiscent of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where Congress reportedly collected information from women under the guise of delivering financial aid, which never arrived. Hence, many wonder whether this is part of a larger pattern of deception.

By collecting sensitive data from voters in exchange for hollow guarantees, Congress risks not only undermining voter trust but also violating ethical boundaries.

In its latest election campaign, Congress has focused heavily on appealing to the emotions of mothers and sisters. This tactic worked in General Elections, albeit with a lack of follow-through. Thus, the people of Haryana must now weigh the consequences of such guarantees. They must ask themselves if these promises will truly benefit them in the long term, or simply serve as a means to an electoral end!

Empty Promises, Empty Pockets?

Congress’s Guarantee Cards are presented as a solution to the economic and social challenges faced by voters. However, what happens when the cards go unfulfilled? Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh already serve as examples of the financial strain that these grandiose promises can create.

Government employees, farmers, and the general public are left in the lurch when state budgets collapse under the pressure of unsustainable policies.

The BJP has taken the opportunity to position itself as the alternative to Congress’s populist rhetoric. BJP has a track record of focusing on long-term governance rather than quick-fix schemes. Thus, they argue that Haryana cannot afford to follow the same path that led Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh into fiscal trouble.

The Real Choice: Promises or Progress?

As assembly elections season heats up, voters in Haryana face a critical decision: Will they place their trust in guarantee cards filled with lofty promises, or will they choose a government that has proven its ability to deliver real results?

The BJP’s message is clear- voters need to be wary of political traps disguised as guarantees. Haryana, like any other state, deserves progress and development, not the kind of financial uncertainty that comes with empty promises.
