Over the past few years, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has launched a massive social outreach campaign. Consequently, the RSS organizes Bhim events for Ambedkar to integrate marginalized communities into the nationalist fold. The organization rightfully honors him for drafting the Indian Constitution and fighting the historical sin of untouchability. The primary intention is clearly to bridge social divides and unite Hindu society. However, this strategic political outreach has created massive ideological confusion among traditional, practicing Hindus.
Documented Attacks on Hindu Gods
To understand this deep right-wing sadness, one must look directly at the historical evidence. Dr. Ambedkar wrote a highly controversial book titled Riddles in Hinduism. In this text, he launched scathing, documented attacks on the core deities of Sanatan Dharma. Specifically, he heavily questioned the morality and divine nature of Lord Rama regarding Mata Sita’s Agni Pariksha. Furthermore, he heavily criticized the diplomatic actions of Lord Krishna in the Mahabharata. Therefore, reading these historical texts is deeply painful for any devout Hindu.
Rejecting the Vedas and Shastras
The ideological divide goes far beyond historical criticisms of the Avatars. In his famous essay Annihilation of Caste, Dr. Ambedkar explicitly argued that Hinduism cannot be reformed from within. He clearly wrote that people must completely destroy the spiritual authority of the Vedas and Shastras to end the caste system. Moreover, he did not view these ancient scriptures as divine texts, but rather as manuals of oppression. Ultimately, his core philosophy demanded the total rejection of Sanatan Dharma.
The 22 Vows of Deekshabhoomi RSS
This lifelong ideological hostility finally culminated in his public conversion to Buddhism in 1956. During this historic event in Nagpur, he famously declared that he would never die as a Hindu. Additionally, he administered 22 strict vows to his millions of followers. The very first two vows explicitly forbade the worship of Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh, Rama, and Krishna. Therefore, when the RSS organizes Bhim events for Ambedkar, they are inadvertently elevating a leader who legally and culturally rejected Hindu gods.
The Deep Sadness of Traditional Hindus RSS
The RSS has done unparalleled, generation-defining work to protect our civilizational values. No sane right-wing voice wants to attack the ultimate shield of our culture. Yet, seeing cultural guardians actively elevate a figure who sought to dismantle their sacred scriptures causes immense heartache. Traditional Hindus feel politically alienated when spiritual sanctity is compromised just for demographic engineering. Ultimately, we must respect Dr. Ambedkar for his civic contributions, but we must also draw a firm line to protect the unassailable honor of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna.
