Today, the streets of Ranchi witnessed an absolute bloodbath of democratic rights. Thousands of students, peacefully protesting against massive irregularities in the JPSC and JSSC CGL recruitment exams, were met with the full, unchecked wrath of the Hemant Soren government. Yet, the Marxist independent media cartel is suddenly looking the other way.
Barbed Wires, Tear Gas, and Lathicharge
For the past 17 days, the youth of Jharkhand have been sitting on an indefinite protest demanding transparency, the cancellation of rigged exams, and a CBI probe into the systemic corruption ruining their futures. Their agitation was peaceful.
When these desperate students marched towards the Jharkhand Assembly for a Vidhan Sabha Gherao, they were not met with dialogue. They were met with war zone tactics. The Hemant Soren administration deployed multi layered barricades literally adorned with barbed wire, the exact same defensive measures the left cried foul about during past protests in Delhi.
When the students refused to back down, the police unleashed water cannons, fired multiple rounds of tear gas, and resorted to a brutal, unprovoked lathicharge. Innocent youths were beaten down, and several students suffered severe head injuries just for demanding a fair recruitment process. Student leader Devendra Nath Mahto, who has been on a hunger strike for nine days, had to join the march on a stretcher.
This is the real face of the INDIA Alliance. They promise employment in their manifestos but deliver lathis and tear gas to those who dare to ask for their rights.
The Detention of Aman Chopra
If crushing students was not enough, the Hemant Soren government decided to go after the press. But of course, they did not target the compliant, friendly Leli journalists. They targeted those who were actually showing the truth on the ground.
Senior journalist Aman Chopra, who was in Ranchi covering the massive student uprising, was targeted directly. In a blatant display of state intimidation, Jharkhand Police arrived at his hotel, dragged him away from his breakfast table, detained him, and interrogated him for two hours before slapping an FIR on him. His only crime? Doing his job and exposing the nervous, crumbling administration of Hemant Soren.
Where is the outrage for press freedom now? When right wing handles simply expose the vile abuses of protests in Delhi, the left calls it harassment. But when an actual journalist is detained and interrogated by the state police for covering a student protest, the ecosystem suddenly loses its voice.
The Deafening Silence of the Marxist Media
The absolute hypocrisy of the left wing media cartel, funded by billionaire IPSMF grants, is out in the open today.
Platforms like Newslaundry, The Red Mike, Alt News, and Peek TV have completely buried the Jharkhand story. There are no dramatic videos about the death of democracy. There are no international op eds about Hemant Soren acting like a dictator.
Why? Because the perpetrator is not the BJP.
For the Liberandu ecosystem, human rights and press freedom are strictly conditional. If students are beaten with lathis and barbed wires in an INDIA Alliance ruled state, it is considered standard law and order. If a journalist is detained for exposing the corruption of a non BJP government, he deserves it.
The youth of Jharkhand are bleeding today, and Aman Chopra is facing the wrath of a terrified state machinery.
