A government school headmistress in Chhattisgarh has been suspended following serious allegations of religious influence on students, anti-Hindu remarks, and financial irregularities.
Lakshmi Devi Bhardwaj, headmistress of PM Shri Government Girls Primary School in Baloda, was placed under immediate suspension after complaints from villagers and parents triggered an official inquiry by the district education department.
The controversy erupted after allegations surfaced that students were allegedly being encouraged to participate in Christian-style prayers and practices during school assemblies.
‘Hallelujah’ and ‘God is Great’
Acting on a tidal wave of complaints from parents and local villagers, the District Education Officer (DEO) launched an investigation that confirmed the worst fears of the community.
