Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das Of ISKCON: Detained, Arrested, or Kidnapped?

Must Read

The abrupt arrest of Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu of ISKCON has sparked protests across Bangladesh. His “detention” by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) at Dhaka Airport seems to be based on what many believe to be trumped-up charges. The almost kidnapping-like action by the DMP has left Hindus in Bangladesh and Bharat in turmoil.

ISKCON’s Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu faces allegations of sedition and disrespect toward Bangladesh’s national flag!

However, the charges seem implausible, leading to speculation about deeper and darker motives behind the “arrest“. Bangladesh’s Hindu minority has been struggling to survive ever since the forced regime change in the nation. The leader’s abrupt detention seems like a grave escalation of targeted Hindu persecution. Consequently, Bangladesh’s ISKCON and Hindus across the world are sending SOS signals to PM Modi, urging him to intervene in what they see as a growing human rights crisis. Let’s talk!

Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das – The “Peaceful” Arrest Under Baseless Accusations

Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das is no ordinary man. He is the spokespoerson of ISKCON in Bangladesh and the custodian of the historic Pundarik Dham monastery in Chittagong. Ever since the regime change, he worked tirelessly to demand justice for the persecuted Hindu minority.

While trying to foster peace and communal harmony, he is uniting Hindus and demanding the Hindu genocide under Mohammed Yunus’ regime to stop!

Known for his outreach efforts, Sri Chinmoy had recently engaged with political leaders from across the spectrum, including the BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami. His goal was to advocate for Hindu minority rights and safety. He publicly criticized the Yunus’s interim for failing to protect minorities, pointing out over 3,000 documented attacks on Hindus since August.

It seems that the ISKCON priest was kidnapped by the Police, ofcourse the regime is calling it abruptly “detained” or “arrested.”

The charges leveled against him are of sedition! On 25th October during a rally, he and 9 others were accused of disrespecting the Bangladeshi flag by allegedly placing a saffron flag over it! These allegations were made by Firoz Khan, a former BNP leader from Chittagong, on the 25th October 2024. Thereafter, Mr. Khan was dismiised by the BNP due to anti-party activities! Thus, the charges and “arrest” are not only baseless but strategically timed to silence Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das and the united Hindu community.

Witnesses claim that plainclothes officers apprehended him at Dhaka Airport as he prepared to board a flight to Chittagong, taking him to an undisclosed location.

Hindus Unite In Protest Against Arrest Of Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das

Bangladesh Hindus are a community accustomed to systemic neglect and regular anti-Hindu pogroms. However, they have risen in defiance of the “arrest. Protests erupted in Dhaka’s Shahbagh neighborhood where thousands of Hindus are demanding the immediate release of Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das. These rallies face the violence of the Yunus regime, yet refuse to back down to this systemic oppression of Hindus!

Streets in Chittagong, where the monastery is located, have seen unprecedented demonstrations.

The rallies are not just about one man. They are a cry for justice from a community that feels increasingly abandoned by the government. Protesters argue that the charges against Sri Chinmoy are part of a broader campaign to intimidate Hindu leaders and suppress their voices. Social media platforms have been flooded with calls for justice. ISKCON’s international leadership has expressed outrage demanding immediate release of its leader.

International Outcry and Bharat’s Role

The kidnapping-like arrest of Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das shows the world the reality of the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh. The ISKCON monk was “detained” on trumped-up charges to silence his voice. The “arrest” was also a warning to the Hindu minorities who are trying to unite the fight against “peaceful” Islamic suppression.

reports state that ISKCON has sent an S.O.S. to PM Modi – requesting help in light of growing aggression against its priests and monks as well as Hindus!

ISKCON and the Bangladeshi Hindus have strongly denied the allegations, calling them “outrageous and baseless.” Hindus from Bharat and abroad are also concerned for the life and safety of Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das. Political analysts argue that Bharat, as a regional power, has a moral obligation to protect the rights of Hindus as the last safe haven for Sanatanis. Failure to act, they warn, could embolden anti-Hindu forces and set a dangerous precedent.

Hindu Cry for Justice

The Hindu community in Bharat and Bangladesh have taken to the streets to ask for justice. Vigils and protests have been organized in major cities, with calls for the immediate release of Sri Chinmoy. Influential voices in the Hindu diaspora are also amplifying the issue, urging the global community to hold Bangladesh accountable.

The arrest of Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das is not just an attack on a spiritual leader; it is an assault on the very fabric of Bangladesh’s pluralism.

While Islamists slaughter cows at the office of Prathom Alo, a newspaper reporting on Hindu pogroms with a pro-India stance, the world can no longer ignore the reality of Bangladesh. Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu’s detention symbolizes the broader plight of Hindus in Bangladesh – abandoned, persecuted, and silenced.

Bharat cannot afford to remain silent. A direct attack may trigger a Deep State ploy for sanctions against Bharat. But silence will showcase Bharat as a weak and selfish nation. Thus, PM Modi must act decisively, not just for Sri Chinmoy, but for the millions of Hindus who see Bharat as their last hope. The world is watching, and the clock is ticking. How will Bharat rise to defend its spiritual kin? Or will it allow another chapter of persecution to unfold in a Muslim-majority nation?

The answers to these questions will shape the future of Hindus – in Bangladesh and Beyond.
