Target ISKCON And Hindus: The Islamist Genocidal Threat Peaks In Bangladesh

Must Read

ISKCON is a widely respected Hindu organization with roots in love for Shri Krishna, global peace, and spiritual unity. Unfortunately, it faces a terrifying wave of violence and hatred in “peaceful” Bangladesh. Radical Islamist group Hefazat-e-Islam, notorious for its anti-Hindu rhetoric, recently escalated its vitriolic spiel against Hindus.

This “peaceful” organization is openly calling for the slaughter of ISKCON members, marking a dangerous turn in religious persecution within the country. These genocidal chants are now echoing through the streets of Bangladesh. Thereby, posing a grave threat to its minority Hindu community! What are the boundaries of global tolerance for violent Islamic extremism? Let’s talk!

A Genocidal Call Against ISKCON and Hindus in Bangladesh

In recent days, Hefazat-e-Islam has made an explicit and chilling call to “catch and slaughter” ISKCON members in Bangladesh. This comes amid heightened tensions following the ouster of PM Sheikh Hasina in August 2024. The event left Bangladesh’s already marginalized Hindu minority under increasing threat, even from the police and army!

With slogans such as, “Burn down ISKCON, torch ISKCON’s addresses,” and “Raze down ISKCON,” Islamists are waging a genocidal campaign aimed at eradicating the Hindu presence in Bangladesh.

In the recent monsoon floods in Bangladesh, ISKCON temple had helped people irrespective of their religious leanings. This organization is known for its charitable works and cultural initiatives. However, its demand for equal rights and justice for persecuted Hindus in Bangladesh makes it a target for the ‘Kanglus’ of Bangladesh. Its monks and devotees have been outspoken against the violence inflicted upon Hindus. The persecution has intensified since August as the Army and Police stay complicit in the violence. Hence, Bangladeshi “peacefuls,” who view any Hindu advocacy as an affront to their ideology, are on a rampage in India’s backyard!

Why Is ISKCON a Target?

ISKCON has been nothing but a peaceful advocate for unity and self-realization. It allows easy access to those who want to accept Sanatana Dharma. Its monks organize charitable activities across the globe. In Bangladesh, ISKCON has played a pivotal role in aiding those affected by natural disasters. Moreover, it has participated in social programs that benefit the general public, regardless of faith.

However, in a climate where Islamist radicals dominate the discourse, even peaceful calls for justice are viewed as incendiary.

Hefazat-e-Islam’s labeling of ISKCON as a “terrorist organization” is both ironic and alarming. ISKCON devotees chant “Hare Krishna, Hare Rama,” and are known worldwide for their peaceful gatherings and processions. Yet, in Kanglu’s Bangladesh, these devotees and monks are the target of Islamic hate! Why? Because they dare to stand up against the systematic atrocities committed against Hindus.

The International Silence And Hindu Genocide

This wave of violent anti-Hindu sentiment that erupted in Chattogram is not in isolation. It is a part of the broader Islamist agenda that continues to threaten the lives of Hindus everywhere. ISKCON has a global presence with roots in countries from the United States to the United Kingdom and even the Middle East. However, none of these nations have stood up for the protection of ISKCON monks or devotees in Bangladesh.

This disturbing lack of international response to these chilling genocidal calls by Hefazat-e-Islam subtly allows these radicals to act upon their vicious thoughts!

As Bangladeshi Hindus and ISKCON devotees face genocide, the world bodies remain largely silent. Every member of Bangladesh’s National Human Rights Commission resigned in protest as the Interim Government failed to listen to their warnings. Genocidal rhetoric rings in Chattogram and calls for the mass slaughter of Hindus to go unchecked in Mohammed Yunus’ Bangladesh! The growing wave of religious fanaticism in Bangladesh raises a critical question: if peaceful organizations like ISKCON can be threatened in this manner, who will stand up for the rights of Hindus and other minorities facing oppression?

Final Thoughts

The genocidal slogans against ISKCON are being ignored by the UNHR High Commissioner Volker Turk. To him and his masters, all that matters is easy access to the resources of Bangladesh. The attacks on Bangladeshi Hindus were negated by the world media and international human rights observers. Thereby, emboldening the attackers to go all out for the last of the Hindus and ISKCON monks in Bangladesh.

The UN and its silence are just as responsible for the brutality that religious minorities face in Bangladesh.

The world must recognize the truth and take a stand against the terror tactics used by groups like Hefazat-e-Islam in Bangladesh. Islamic religious intolerance cannot be allowed to reach genocidal extremes. Let global leaders demand that Bangladesh protect its Hindu citizens and end this violent campaign against ISKCON. The silence of the international community only allows extremists to act with abandon. Hindu genocide is in play in Bangladesh and Hindus demand the attention & protection of the globe.
