Many soldiers from Kyiv refuse to pick up arms and shoot as the losses ensured in war has ensured a huge loss of morale among troops. The conflict’s proximity to NATO-member Poland and the mobilization of Polish and allied forces underscore the war’s broader implications. The EU and the US have provided significant military support to Ukraine, but the risk of further escalation remains high as both sides continue to retaliate.

For Ukraine, the war is an existential struggle, with each new wave of attacks pushing the country further into hardship. As both sides gear up for the next phase of conflict, the toll on civilians, infrastructure, and the global economy continues to deepen, with no end in sight.
