Kerala Congress Under Casting Couch Allegations!

Must Read

Kerala Congress is rocked with accusations of Casting Couch for female politicians! In a shocking statement that echoes the dark side of the entertainment industry, the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) is in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Simi Rosebell John, a senior leader of the Congress party, blew the whistle on the party’s pervasive “casting couch” culture!

As per the former Congress leader, INC Kerala has a culture that demands women leaders to endure sexual exploitation in exchange for political opportunities. Instead of addressing these grave allegations, the KPCC responded by promptly expelling Simi John! This move reeks of a knee-jerk reaction to a highly controversial comment! Let’s explore the exposed depths of depravity within the Congress ranks.

Simi Rosebell John Vs. Kerala Congress

Simi John’s revelations didn’t just scratch the surface; they ripped the mask off a party that has long prided itself on democratic values and women empowerment. According to Simi John, the Kerala Congress is no better than the film industry when it comes to exploiting women. She accused top leaders, including the Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan. She states he fosters an environment where women are expected to “impress” male leaders to climb the political ladder. Seemingly, in Congress, it’s all about who you know or who you ‘appease’.

Knee-Jerk Response of the Kerala Congress

Instead of introspection or setting up an internal committee, the KPCC chose the low road. Simi Rosebell John was expelled today from the Kerala Congress. The General Secretary of KPCC, M Liju, announced her expulsion. They claim her allegations were a deliberate attempt to defame and mentally torture the party’s women leaders. However, the expulsion of Simi John reeks of a desperate attempt to silence a brave woman.

VD Satheesan and KPCC President K Sudhakaran were quick to dismiss John’s claims as baseless.

They even went as far as to accuse her of conspiring with political rivals to tarnish the party’s image. However, the public message of Simi John’s ousting from Kerala Congress only validates her claims. Hence, this haste and imprudence confirms that in the Kerala Congress, truth can sometimes be the biggest casualty!

When Will the CON Party Learn?

The Kerala Congress seems to be following a tried-and-tested script of denial, deflection, and retribution. However, they fail to grasp that the public is no longer a gullible fool who buys their farce. Simi Rosebell John’s claims draws harrowing parallels between the Kerala Congress and the Malayalam film industry plagued by #MeToo stories.

The Kerala Congress party is at a crossroads. They can either confront the rot by instituing an internal investigation. Or they can try to bury their heads, and allegation with it, in the sand. If they choose the latter, they risk becoming a party with a murky past. Th epublic may not remember it for the contribution of its leaders to the Indian freedom struggle or democracy. Instead they may remmeber this regional wing of CON party for its role in perpetuating exploitation of women and silencing the voices of truth. Hence, this controversial storm is just beginning to cloud the air around Kerala Congress.

The leadership’s refusal to address the “casting couch” allegations and its quick-trigger response to expel the whistleblower speaks volumes about the party’s attitude to truth.

The expulsion of Simi Rosebell John may have silenced one voice, but it has also opened the floodgates for others to speak out. And when they do, the CON party might just find itself completely stripped of whatever shreds of credibility it has left. If the Congress party in Kerala ever hopes to regain the trust of the people, it must start by cleaning house. Until then, the party remains a sinking ship propped by the Left, weighed down by its own scandals and the ghosts of its sordid past.
