Swift Police Action
Responding to the public outcry, Police Sub Inspector Parshuram of Kotwali Nagar police station lodged a formal complaint on 2 August 2024. The FIR, obtained by OpIndia, names Dilshad and Azeem as the culprits. Known on social media as Jordan DS, Dilshad has a history of provocative content.
The authorities booked the duo under Section 296 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and Section 67 of the IT Act. These sections address religious disrespect and the dissemination of obscene material online. The investigation is ongoing, with promises of stringent action against the offenders.
Community’s Sacred Trust Violated
The Vasudev temple, believed to date back to the era of Lord Krishna, is a central pillar of faith for Hindus in Amroha and nearby regions. The desecration of this holy site by recording and sharing vulgar videos has deeply wounded the community.
Social Media and Moral Decay
Dilshad, the main accused, is notorious for his social media presence. He frequently shares videos featuring fast bikes and interactions with local girls. His reckless disregard for societal norms is evident, with many of his videos showing unregistered vehicles. This incident has brought his dubious activities under greater scrutiny.
Call for Justice
The act of recording obscene content in a sacred temple has insulted religious sentiments. It has also highlighted the broader issue of social media misuse. The Hindu community is demanding strict punishment for Dilshad and Azeem to ensure such acts are never repeated.
