In a shocking trend that raises significant concerns, YouTubers like Gulzar Sheikh put the lives of train travelers at risk by placing random objects on railway tracks to create viral content. These dangerous stunts, done in the name of “experiments,” gain millions of views but potentially cause train derailments and endanger countless lives.

On 1st August, an X user named ‘TrainWaleBhaiya’ shared a disturbing video showing Gulzar Sheikh placing various items such as cycles, soaps, and stones on railway tracks. The user highlighted the dangerous nature of these acts, writing, “This is Mr. Gulzar Sheikh from Lalgopalganj, UP who puts random things in front of trains for YouTube money. He is putting lives of thousands of passengers in danger,” and called on Indian Railways and local authorities to take strict action against the YouTuber.

The increase in train derailments in recent times heightens worries about railway safety. Speculations are rife about how many derailments might result from such reckless YouTubers. Further investigations reveal that several YouTube channels engage in this hazardous behavior for the sake of likes, shares, and substantial ad revenue.

Gulzar Sheikh Practises Rail Jihad?

An examination of Gulzar’s channel, named Gulzar Indian Hacker, reveals a plethora of videos and shorts showing him placing various items on railway tracks. Despite his occasional disclaimers urging viewers not to mimic his actions, his content continuously features these perilous stunts. Gulzar’s channel boasts over 243 videos, with one short video amassing 99 million views. The channel has garnered more than 235,000 subscribers and a staggering total of 1,370,443,93 views.

The oldest video featuring this dangerous act dates back to January 2024. He placed earbuds on the tracks. Other videos show him placing a 500-gram weight and an axe on the tracks, further demonstrating his disregard for safety.

Other Channels Following Suit

The trend isn’t limited to Gulzar’s channel. Other channels like Train Experiments have 241 videos. They show items like brake blocks, watermelons, needles, keys, stones, and even toy hand grenades being placed on tracks. This channel has accumulated over 29,280,045 views.

Additional channels such as Mr. Saps Shorts, Train Vs. Everything, Karan Train Experiment, RJ Facts, and Murmu Shorts 143 also engage in similar activities. They endanger countless lives for the sake of internet fame.

Public and Political Reaction

Netizens have expressed outrage over these dangerous videos, calling for immediate action. Bharatiya Janata Party’s national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla shared screenshots of the videos. He urged the Railway Ministry, Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnav, UP Police, and CM Yogi Adityanath to take swift action.
