Desecration in Tirupati: Santa Hat To Insult Annamayya’s Statue

Must Read

The latest incident at Tirupati makes Hindus ask how long their Religious Tolerance will be rewarded by Constant Insults! A viral video on X shows Tallapaka Annamayya’s Statue at a Tirupati public square with a Santa Hat!

Miscreants desecrated this statue of Tallapaka Annamayya, who is a revered devotee of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, on a whim.

This act of mischief occurred at the main square of Tirupati town on the eve of Christmas. Hindu sentiments stand deeply hurt as this incident unfolded in the spiritual capital of Andhra Pradesh. This incident shows the minority dharma in Bharat, the majority religion in Bharat often bears the brunt of deliberate provocations by the minority in the name of religious tolerance!

What drives such acts of insult? The placing of a Santa Claus hat on Tallapaka Annamayya’s statue in Tirupati isn’t just mischief! It’s a symbolic attempt to mock Hindu culture and create disharmony. Hindu organizations rightly pointed out that this “zeal” of minority groups is crossing boundaries.

Fake secularism has enabled individuals to desecrate idols, insult spiritual leaders, and undermine the sanctity of Hinduism without fear of repercussions.

In the case of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy gave a free hand to aggressive evangelism! However, this time, Christians’ evangelical enthusiasm appears to be testing waters with the TDP at the helm. Lately, holy sites or figures across Bharat are becoming soft targets for such actions, where symbols of Hinduism are mocked, vandalized, or reappropriated.

The hat placed on Annamayya’s statue was not an innocent gesture. It was a calculated move to provoke Hindus, insult their heritage, and challenge their patience.

Hindu groups have demanded swift punishment for the culprits. Former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy condemned the act, calling it an “extreme injustice.” He used this moment to question the CM and DCM of AP – Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.

YRCP is using this act to cast suspicion on TDP and the Jansena Party who often speak about protecting Sanatana Dharma but remain quiet when such incidents occur.

The police, now on high alert, have assured action on the miscreants. But will justice be served? Or will this incident, like many others, fade into obscurity, leaving Hindus feeling betrayed and disrespected once again?

This Santa Hat moment of deliberate insult in Tirupati is not an isolated event. It reflects a growing trend where Hindu tolerance is tested and abused. Miscreants from “minority” religions desecrate idols, mock rituals, and exploit the openness of the Hindu majority. No shobha yatra is free from “seculars” and “peacefuls” of the minority groups. No poor Hindu is safe from the clutches of conversion enthusiats. The character of Gods and their existence is open to “secular” debate!

However, for Christians and Muslims, their religious symbols are sacrosanct and untouchable.

Therefore, any perceived slight triggers a storm of protests and media outrage. From Nupur Sharma quoting Hadith to Eshwarappa’s controversial staments, apology for each word is sought from PM Modi! Foreign governments and Human Rights organizations rush to demand actions against “alleged” perpetrators. However, when Hindu icons are desecrated, the response is muted if not absent altogether.

Final Thought: Time to Draw the Line

The desecration of Annamayya’s statue is a stark reminder of the selective secularism plaguing Bharat. Thus, it’s high time Hindus unite to demand that respect for their heritage, their deities, and their faith comes before any minority tolerance. If religious tolerance is to be truly upheld, it must be mutual – not one-sided.

Let this incident in Tirupati serve as a wake-up call for Hindus and the authorities alike.

There shall be no tolernace for mockery in the name of “mischief”. Desecrating a statue of Annamayya is an insult to the rich cultural and spiritual legacy of Bharat. Hindus must stand firm and ensure that such incidents are met with zero tolerance. Respect for all religions is a noble ideal, but it must begin with respecting the faith of the majority. If this line isn’t drawn now, statues of revered Hindus shall face a fate similar to that of Tallapaka  Annamayya’s statue in Tirupati.

Thereafter, desecration of statues will become the symbol of the growing disregard for Sanatana Dharma in Bharat – the last safe haven for Hindus on Earth!
