Must Read

On March 30, 2026, the Delhi Police Special Cell achieved a massive counter-terrorism victory. Near the Ghazipur border, authorities successfully got Lashkar terrorist Shabbir Ahmad Lone arrested. Originally hailing from Kangan in Jammu and Kashmir, Lone was not just a foot soldier; he was a top-tier commander. He had been operating a highly dangerous terror network from a safe hideout in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Consequently, this high-profile arrest has completely exposed Pakistan’s ongoing proxy war and its desperate attempts to revive sleeper cells inside the national capital.

The Bangladesh Route and Illegal Immigrants

Lone was acting as a master recruiter and handler under the direct supervision of Pakistan’s ISI. Operating safely from Bangladesh, he specifically targeted and radicalized Bangladeshi nationals who were already living illegally in India. Furthermore, his module was directly responsible for the recent anti-India Metro poster case in Delhi. Security agencies had already cracked down on this module in February, arresting eight members, including six illegal Bangladeshi immigrants working in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Therefore, his arrest highlights the massive, undeniable national security threat posed by unchecked illegal infiltration across our eastern borders.

A Decades-Long History of Terror

To understand the extreme danger of this individual, we must look at his dark criminal past. Lone is a hardcore, highly trained militant who received advanced weapons training at terror camps in Muzaffarabad, PoK. The Special Cell previously arrested him in 2007 with a massive cache of weapons, including an AK-47 and live grenades. He remained locked up in Tihar Jail until 2018. However, instead of abandoning his anti-national activities after securing bail, he immediately fled to Bangladesh. There, he re-established his direct contacts with top Lashkar leadership, including 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed and Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi.

Crushing the Red Fort Plot

This massive bust directly exposes how Pakistan is constantly changing its cowardly tactics. After facing severe crackdowns from the Indian Army on the western border, the ISI is now aggressively using Bangladeshi territory as a new launchpad. Moreover, intelligence agencies successfully tracked Lone just as he was plotting a major terror strike near heavy footfall areas, including a suspected alert regarding the Red Fort. Ultimately, the successful two-month-long tracking and arrest of this LeT commander proves that Indian intelligence agencies are always one step ahead of the enemy.

Zero Tolerance for Anti-India Forces

India has once again demonstrated an absolute zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. The fact that we got Lashkar terrorist Shabbir Ahmad Lone arrested sends a chilling, undeniable message to anti-India forces everywhere. No matter where you hide or which foreign soil you use to run your operations, you will be hunted down and crushed. This is a massive victory for our security apparatus and a humiliating defeat for Pakistan’s terror factories.
