You can ask what was the reason?

The reason was that the student wrote on the blackboard the religious shloka ‘Jai Shree Ram’.

The government of J&K has ordered an inquiry in the matter, even as the teacher was suspended and investigation against him is going on.

But this incident has brought to the fore the problem the members of the opposition and the ‘you-know-who’ community tend to have with this shloka.

‘You-Know-Who’ are Intolerant

‘Jai Shree Ram’ in its literal sense means obeisance to Lord Ram.

Lord Ram is one of the major deities in Sanatan Dharma.

Lord Ram is of the supreme personalities of GodHead and is one of the most popular avatars of Lord Vishnu.

He was born in the Treta Yuga and is considered to be an epitome of pureness of heart, chivalry, bravery etc.

Lord Ram is the manifestation of ‘Maryada’ in its highest form.

But the ‘you-know-who’ fellows are intolerant.

Well, they have been intolerant right from their very inception.

They consider idol-worshippers as ‘Kafirs’.

They regard it as their duty to annihilate them in the so-called ‘jihad’ or holy war, regarding that they are serving their religion.

Reflection of the Broader Mentality

The beating up of the student is not an aberration, it is the reflection of a broader pattern.

A pattern that is emulated by the ‘you-know-who’ community almost everywhere.

You, the reader, know how this works- whenever they are in a majority, they will call the shots in every area of life.

I firmly believe democracy doesn’t really matter to them. They live by the Shariat, of the Shariat, of the Shariat.

Nothing beyond their faith.

For people of other religions, forget your own existence.

Just remember that if you are in a minority, your status is nothing better than ‘zimmi’.

In The World Order, Henry Kissinger wrote that in the history of Islam’s conquest, three options were given to the conquered people.

First, you convert.

Second, you don’t convert and pay taxes and tributes, i.e. Jizya.

Third, You prepare for war and die.

That is exactly what is going to play out in the rest of Bharat if timely steps aren’t taken to remedy the situation.

Conclusion

‘Jai Shree Ram’ is, was and never will be a political slogan. It is a religious slogan and is a point of reverence to Lord Ram.

But the intolerance to this shloka at the hands of the ‘you-know-who’ community is indeed worrying.

Sanatanis must wake up to this problem.

Hence why so intolerant with ‘Jai Shree Ram’?
