Without fail, PM Modi was once again seen celebrating Diwali with Indian armed forces. This time he was seen celebrating Diwali with the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force personnel at Lakki Nala in Sir Creek area in Gujarat’s Kutch.
Dressed in Army uniform, PM Modi was seen interacting and offering sweets to the soldiers.

PM Modi’s Diwali Tradition With The Jawans…
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time, for PM Modi has been celebrating Diwali each year with our armed forces. Here’s a list of these instances-
- In 2014, PM Modi celebrated the festival of lights with soldiers at the Siachen Glacier.
- 2015- He visited the Punjab border on Diwali. It also coincided with the 50th anniversary of 1965 Indo- Pak war.
- 2016- PM Modi went to the meet the soldiers posted in Sumdoh, near china border in Himachal Pradesh. There he had also interacted with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police and the Dogra Scouts.
- 2017- He was in Gurez sector of North Kashmir
- 2018- He celebrated Diwali in Harsil, Uttarakhand. He visited Kedarnath after this visit.
- 2019- After his re-election, PM Modi celebrated Diwali with the soldiers in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir.
- 2020- He was celebrating Diwali in Longewala in Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.
- 2021- PM Modi was with the soldiers in Nowshera in JK.
- 2022- He had celebrated the festival with soldiers in Kargil.
- Last year, PM Modi had celebrated Diwali with the soldiers in Lepcha, Himachal Pradesh.
Notably, PM Modi’s connect with Indian armed forces goes way back in history. Reportedly, even when he was working for BJP Jammu Kashmir and Himachal, he had visited Kargil in 1999. Even when he was not the PM, he had reached out to the armed forces to boost their morale and to show solidarity. It is these small yet big gestures which set him apart as a leader.
