Arfa Khanum Sherwani claims that India is heading towards becoming a ‘Hindu Rashtra’! Furthermore, she says that certain states are already living in the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ philosophy. Her demented assertion deserves closer examination. The partition of Akhand Bharat was on the basis of religion; i.e. it was a Hindu vs. Muslim division. If Pakistan chose to be ‘sickular’ Muslim nation, it automatically makes India a ‘Hindu Rashtra’.
However, India functions as a secular state. Diversity and religious pluralism are honored here. Unlike the daily news from Bangladesh and Pakistan that showcase minority oppression.
Even a minuscule nation like Maldives has shoved its Hindu and Buddhist communities into an existential crisis.
Contrarily, in Bharat all religions have coexisted peacefully for more than 75 years. Barring a few exceptions when the minorities of Bharat have oppressed the Hindus, for example Kashmiri Pandits!!! These realities speak volumes about the ethos of the country guarded by a Hindu majority. Can she say the same about any Muslim-majority nation? Thus, what is so bad about a Hindu Rashtra in Madam Sherwani’s mind??? Maybe her faith’s teachings are projected through her insecurities! Maybe her negative idea of a Hindu Rashtra comes from the way a Muslim Nation treats its minorities?!
Crisis of ‘Toolkit’ Journalism
Arfa Khanum Sherwani argues that the dawn of the Modi era was the demise of legacy media. This is presented as a crisis in journalism. However, the reality is that propaganda is no longer acceptable to the public. ‘Toolkit‘ Journalism has taken a huge hit! No one wants to hear their agenda-driven drivel! How is there a crisis in journalism when she can write and speak against PM Modi and Hindus without worrying about her head? Arfa Madam can peddle her agenda safe in the knowledge the majority in Bharat are Hindus. Her statements of ‘My Burqa, My Choice’ would be crushed in a Muslim Sharia nation like Afghanistan or Iran!!
There is a crisis of freedom of speech in India, but it only restricts the Hindu majority. Hindus of Arfa’s ‘Hindu Rahstra’ are unable to state their truth and stay safe. Nupur Sharma and Kanahiya Lal are two examples of the status of Hindus in a nation where they are in the majority! All media platforms allow diverse voices and opinions. Including ‘The Wire’ which prints out a daily dose of Hinduphobic or anti-Modi agenda! Therefore, the reality is netizens and citizens do not want Arfa Khanum Sherwani’s half-truths and propaganda! This is why there is a crisis in ‘toolkit’ journalism!
The Reality That Bugs Madam Arfa
Arfa Khanum Sherwani asserts that the government is using state power to muzzle voices in the independent media. However, India’s judicial system and media houses are open to robust and vocal diverse perspectives. Her disenchantments come from the fact that she is unable to gain public sympathy from her daily dose of Hinduphobic verbal diarrehea! Her Muslim victim card is no longer valid in the new Bharat! This is the reality that steals Madam Arfas’s sleep.
India’s pluralistic tradition, diverse media landscape, and democratic ethos stand intact. The Sleeping Sanatanis have relearned politics and regained their voices. For a change, the mischievous ‘peaceful’ minorities are learning the truth of Hindu Might. This has ensured that the voice of Bharat is no longer the whines of Soros’s handmaidens but the roar of Hindu Lions and Lionesses! Let Bharat notice these whiners and nay-sayers!
