Her vile insinuations and derogatory language is her ‘takiya-kalam’ at every media debate.
However, the tweet against Kangana Ranaut hits a new low for Madam Supriya. The tweet compares Kangana Ranaut to a sex worker by asking for her going rate in “Mandi”!
It was a double-meaning post demeaning the place Mandi in Himachal Pradesh as well as the woman who wants to represent it! In an instant, this tweet took a life of its own under the nimble fingers of CON party IT cells. Each tweet, more disgusting than the previous, stooped to unprecedented lows in respect for women, appreciation of actresses, and the plight of sex workers.

However, more alarming than the initial tweet was the aftermath of the social media storm it evoked. Supriya Shrinate took down the offensive tweet after 3 hours, hundreds of retweets, and thousands of likes. The intended damage to Kangana Ranaut was accomplished by the time! Then began the classic CON party blame game. Supriya Shrinate made a video in response to the online hate to her tweet.
Showing poor leadership she said her assistants posted it without consent.
Thereafter, showing lack of awareness she stated that she noted this sordid tweet 3 hours later. And finally, she poses as a victim and accuses a parody account for the entire thing!
Where is The Apology?
Amazingly, Madam Supriya did not accept any direct responsibility for the fiasco!
There was no hint of an apology to Kangana in her entire video statement or written response.
It was obvious that Supriya was more worried about appeasing outraged viewers than issuing a sincere apology for the offensive remarks. Was it not obvious that the spokesperson wanted to downplay the severity of the situation? Was she not offering feeble justifications and placebo statements in response to the public’s ire?

Moreover, one must note that Supriya Shrinate withdrew her comment after Kanagana sent out her response.
It seems the googly served by this congress spokesperson failed to do its job! Moreover, it allowed the BJP candidate an opportunity to use the CON party as a launching pad for her social media stake to political fame. Consequently, the CON party ball was knocked out of the park! Hence, the foul tweet was deleted and the blame was assigned to random employees!

As netizens rally behind Kangana Ranaut, condemning the malicious attack orchestrated by Supriya Shrinate, there is a bigger question we must ask! After RaGa went GaGa to say ‘Our Fight Is Against Shakti’; is this tweet the new path for the CON party? Are they going to start by degrading women and fighting the rise of Nari Shakti as an election strategy?
The reprehensible tweet by this Congress spokesperson serves as a grim reminder of the depths to which CON party political discourse can sink. They have tried a similar tactic by morphing an image with MP Smriti Irani as well.
It seems that hit-and-run is their style of empathy with women.
