Shameless Attempts at Land Grabbing –  Land Jihad 

The Islamists of India has been trying to increase its influence over the country using various means and actions. The Islamists have a better understanding of the “साम-दाम-दंड ” Chanakyaneeti than our current politicians. Moreover, they use this ‘neeti’ accurately and expertly to further their cause. They may have even modified the quote by adding methods like “भेद-भय-मोह-माया”. These strategies have increased the population and property of Islamist in India. The modern radical Islamists preach their faith to all non-believers. They are responsible for religion-based politics, mass-conversions, illegal immigration, love-jihad, etc. The community has long adopted the policy of lies to ensure proliferation of Islam in India. The oldest and most successful policy adopted by the Islamist is the policy of illegal encroachment on land. 

BASIC MODUS OPERANDI OF LAND JIHAD

Islamist conduct illegal encroachment by either declaring the land as the Waqf Board’s property, or by establishment of Sufi Dargah, or by building illegal Muslim burial grounds. The netizens have aptly named this land grabbing activity as Land Jihad. This term denotes the forced conversion of land rights through the purchase or illegal occupation.

There have been numerous successful attempts of Land Jihad in India in the past. “Land Jihad” strategies made the Waqf Board the owner of 77% of Delhi’s land. The population of India is finally awake to thwart the shameless attempts made by Islamists to illegally encroach on land in the name of faith.

The modern Hindu recognizes these attempts as a deliberate and coordinated effort by Islamists to expand their territorial influence.

They correctly perceive this act as an endeavor to alter the demographic composition of certain areas in India.

TAMIL NADU : WAQF BOARD BECOMES OWNER OF AN ENTIRE VILLAGE AND ITS TEMPLE

In September 2022 the entire Thiruchenthurai, a village near Trichy, was discovered as Waqf Board Property when a man tried to resell his land. The agricultural land and the temple land of a Hindu majority village was declared as Waqf Board property by the Deeds Department without any prior notification to the villagers. This land was converted to a Waqf property without the consent of its legal owners. The local registrar affirms that all legal documents filed by the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board accurately laid claim to the entire village.

Moreover, this village is also home to a 1,500 years old Manendiyavalli Sametha Chandrasekhara Swamy temple. The temple land comprises 369 acres in and around the Tiruchenthurai village. All documentary evidence regarding complete ownership of the land by the temple authorities were legally filed with the Deeds Department. However, the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board still succeeded in its claim. The Waqf currently holds all property rights to the entire hamlet. Apparently, the district officials and the registrar are at a loss to justify this Land Jihad.

MAHARASHTRA : CONTINUED SHAMELESS ENCROACHMENT OF GOVERNMENT LAND AGAINST THE HIGH COURT’S DECISION

In 2012 an illegal Masjid was erected on government land in Phaltan, Maharashtra. Subsequently, the Masjid premises continued to expand during the 2021 lockdown. Currently, the Islamist of the region have tried to establish a “Dargah and Masjid Board” for its possession and management.

The local Hindu population raised a PIL against the Masjid construction in 2012. In 2013 the Bombay High Court ruled against the illegal Masjid. The court asked the local authorities to take necessary action against the said construction. However, the local authorities failed in their duty towards the villagers. Consequently, the Masjid premises continues to expand along with the influence of the operating body of the illegal establishment.

THE IMPOTENCE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LAND RESOURCES AND THE SYSTEM

These examples denote the rising helplessness of the system against the Islamists. Any legally owned land can change ownership without prior notice. The cunning and powerful Waqf Board has become the second largest owner of property in India. The judiciary and the parliament should take due cognizance of the force of Land Jihad before the entire country of India is declared Waqf property.
