Never Forget, Never Forgive: Saga of Hindu Genocide

Must Read

The more you try to curb the truth, it will resurface with double the force. Because truth is harsh, unbelievable and burns away the falsity. And it is time that world and especially, Hindu know their true history. It not about being victim, or promoting victimhood. But it is actually an endeavour to realise one’s own past, own ancestors and what they did to keep this civilization living.

Francois Gautier in his book wrote:

“The massacres perpetuated by Muslims in India are unparalleled in history, bigger than the Holocaust of the Jews by the Nazis; or the massacre of the Armenians by the Turks; more extensive even than the slaughter of the South American native populations by the invading Spanish and Portuguese.”[1]Gautier, Francois ‘Rewriting Indian History’ (1996)

Views Of Islamic Historians

From the advent of the barbarians in the land of ‘sapt-sindhu’, massacres were evident. Mahmud Ghazni entered in India in 1000 CE, and this continued till Aurangzeb’s death in 1707. Though there was always an equal fight and resistance by the Hindu kings, but sufferings never stopped. This was an era of biggest holocaust of the world. Islamic historians used to boast about their crimes committed on Hindus (includes Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs).

Ghazni’s secretary, writes in his book Tarikh-i-Yamini, that the blood of the infidels flowed so copiously in the city of Thanesar that the stream was discoloured. During Qutb-ul-Din Aibak’s period he demolished temples in Meerut and erected mosques on those sites. And in Aligarh, he converted and beheaded those who adhered to Hinduism.

Persian historian Wassaf [2]Wassaf, ‘Tazjiyat-ul-Amsar wa Tajriyat ul Asar’writes, that when Alauddin Khilji captured city of Khambat, he killed adult Hindu males and kept the thousand maiden slaves as his private sex slave.

Bloodiest of them all, the progenitor of Timurid dynasty, Timur entered Bharat in 1398-1399. In his memoirs, titled Tuzk-i-Timuri, he vividly describes the gory act of killing 1 lakh Hindus in a very short span of time. He writes,

“throughout the camp that every man who has infidel prisoners was to put them to death, and whoever neglected to do so should himself be executed and his property given to the informer. When this order became known to the ghazis of Islam, they drew their swords and put their prisoners to death. 100,000 infidels, impious idolaters, were on that day slain. Maulana Nasir-ud-din Umar, a counselor and a man of learning, who, in all his life had never killed a sparrow, now, in execution of my order, slew with his sword fifteen idolatrous Hindu, who were his captives“.

In Tarikh-i-Alamgiri, a chronicle contemporary to Ahmed Shah abdali who ivaded Bharat 3 times in the 17th century writes,

‘For every enemy head to be brought in, Abdali’s soldiers would be paid rupees 5’

Mughal emperors were no less. The so called Akbar the Great massacred 40 thousand Hindus when conquered the Chittorgarh fort. And thousands of women had to burn themselves in the fire of Johar.

Views of Modern Historians

Prof. K.S.Lal, the Indian historian estimates that Indian population decreased by 80 million between 100 CE and 1525 CE. This was a slaughter done by Arabs, afghan, Turks and Mughals.

Will Durant writes,

“The Mohammedan conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. The Islamic historians and scholars have recorded with great glee and pride the slaughters of Hindu, forced conversions, abduction of Hindu women and children to slave markets and the destruction of temples carried out by the warriors of Islam during 800 AD to 1700 AD. Millions of Hindus were converted to Islam by sword during this period.”

(p.c.-sikhnet)

Francois Gautier considers the holocaust of Hindus to be even bigger than holocaust of Jews by Nazis or the massacre of South American Native populations by the European colonialists.

French historian, Alain Danielou[3]Danielou, Alain,Histoire de l’ Inde, 1983, writes that history of India from 632 CE was a series of murders, massacres, spoliations and destructions, in the name of holy war (jihad).

Historian Irfan Husain in his article Demons from the Past, writes-

“Their temples were razed, their idols smashed, their women raped, their men killed or taken slaves. When Mahmud of Ghazni entered Somnath on one of his annual raids, he slaughtered all 50,000 inhabitants. Aibak killed and enslaved hundreds of thousands. The list of horrors is long and painful.”

Conclusion

Every boy, man and old man of the household used to go in the wars in such times of crisis. They had to protect their family, land and dharma; and at no cost they could sit back at home. So these men died fighting for their truth and never surrendered against the demonic forces, however gruesome the brutality was. All these evidences prove the intensity and the statistics of the number of people died during these years. It could never be less than 80 million

Bringing about the hidden history of almost a thousand years, several attacks, numerous and perpetual battles and wars, demolition of temples, raping and purchasing of the women, and so on. This was the general life of any place in Bharat which got invaded by Islamic invaders. And for about thousand years we fought, we retaliated, we won and fought again, they razed us, we stood again!
