In a flagrant podcast, former US President Donald Trump, praised PM Modi, calling him “the nicest human being” but also “a total killer.” During the podcast, Trump recalled the “Howdy Modi,” event which was held in Texas in 2019. He said, “They did a thing called Howdy, Modi in Houston, Texas. It was me and him and it was beautiful. It was a gathering of around 80,000 people and it felt like crazy. We were walking about. Today, maybe I won’t be able to do something like that.”
During this podcast, Trump also spoke about his assessment of world leaders. He stated, “Modi (India), he’s a friend of mine and also the nicest human being. On the outside, he looks like he’s your father. He is the nicest and a total killer.”
Trump without naming Pakistan, said that when a country was threatening India, he had offered to help. However, PM Modi had assured him of being able to handle situation on his own. Describing the incident he said, ” We had a couple of occasions where somebody was threatening India, and I told Modi, let me help as I am very good with those people. To which he (Modi) aggressively responded, ‘I will do it, I will handle it and would do anything necessary. We have defeated them for hundreds of years.‘ And I said, whoa, what just happened there.”

While imitating PM Modi’s remarks and his tough tone and tenor, Trump praised Modi on his handling of cross border terrorism. He showered PM Modi with accolades, calling him a strong leader who can deal with India’s adversaries when required.
BJP National spokesperson Shri Shehzad Poonawalla, shared a video of the same on X. The caption of the post states, “India is no longer a country that listens to the world and follows it. India has now become a country that works on its own terms. All this has happened after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister. Trump, who was the President of the world’s most powerful country, also calls Modi his friend. Not only this, Trump even offered help to Modi…but Narendra Modi said that he will take care of everything.”
