Bharat’s Defiant Rebuttal To The Intercept ‘s Fabrications

Must Read

The misinformation campaign in Bharat is reaching a pinnacle! On one hand, international leaders are praising PM Modi and Bharat. On the other hand, they are busy trying to dig a hole under our feet by spreading misinformation against the nation. The most poignant example of this is Canada’s Credible Allegations backed by the pseudo-foiling of Bharat’s hired gun against Pannun. Since neither of these had the desired effect, a US media outlet ‘The Intercept’ has taken up the challenge to shake the floor under the rising Bharat’s feet.

The news media outlet came up with a bombshell article. They claim to be in possession of an alleged memo issued by India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The alleged memo purportedly directs the Indian consulates in North America to orchestrate a ‘sophisticated crackdown’ against Sikh diaspora organizations that have links to the Khalistani movement. However, a closer inspection of the article raises serious doubts about the credibility of The Intercept ‘s claims.

Contrarily, it exposes the disinformation campaign of the Western powers aimed at tarnishing Bharat’s image on the global stage.

India’s Firm Denial of the Alleged Memo’s Existence

At the heart of The Intercept’s narrative is the existence of a secret memo. However, the media outlet did not share pictures or links for the common man to be the judge of its authenticity. It seems that since the article was printed in a US media outlet, the rest of the world should just believe it word for word!!

However, the existence of this alleged memo was categorically rejected by India’s Ministry of External Affairs. Arindam Bagchi, the official spokesperson, minced no words in denouncing the reports as “fake and completely fabricated.” Therefore, while the media outlet’s claims cannot be verified by anyone other than the outlet itself; the robust denial by the government of India of the alleged memo challenges the very foundation of The Intercept’s sensational claims.

Questioning The Intercept’s Reliability As a Source

Arindam Bagchi brands The Intercept as a source known for peddling fake narratives. He goes further to associate the media outlet with Pakistani intelligence. In 2014, there were claims that the US government had asked its army to not read The Intercept due to its strident biased reporting! A writer for the outlet itself claims that sometimes even Pakistan itself claims that the outlets’ sources are not reliable!!! Thus, in the case of the alleged memo, the faith of the world should rest with Bharat and its government.

The outlet, which is repeatedly marked by various governments as biased, should be questioned as a source of unknown credibility ratings and biased reporting. Thus, should the world trust the words of such a hired mouthpiece???

The Intercept’s article contends that the alleged memo includes the names of several Sikh dissidents, like Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Well, Nijjar was a wanted terrorist from India. He traveled with false documents to Canada and was given citizenship under dubious circumstances.

India’s NIA has been demanding Nijjar’s extradition for a long time. When Nijjar met his end in Canada, it created a wave of shock in the Pakistan-sponsored Khalistani movement, Thus, they have been trying to cast the Indian government in the villain’s role!!! However, India categorically denies any role in Nijjar’s demise. Bharat has gone to the level of pausing its diplomatic ties with Canada on this issue. Despite the Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s absurd and motivated accusations, India’s stance remains unchanged. No document or proof of PM Trudeau’s claims was ever presented to the world or Bharat. Don’t blame Bharat for the presence of mafia or unruly gunmen in Canada!!! Bharat is not responsible for the low level of law and order in Canada.

Points to Ponder

If The Intercept’s narrative is repeatedly questioned for validity, should the world be allowed to judge Bharat on the word of a media outlet?! In the presence of India’s unequivocal denial of the presence of any such memo, a media outlet should be held accountable for its ill-thought-of words. The serious allegations made by The Intercept, without the presence of the memo, are proven hollow!!! Thus, the article is a potential disinformation campaign targeting Bharat and its people. Why??? Well, would the West really like Bharat’s power to grow unchecked?!! The article is an attempt by a media loudspeaker to muddy the waters of global geopolitics!!! Thus, should a media outlet, with dubious credibility and underlying motives, be trusted over the Government of India??!! That is the question the world must answer for themselves.
