Viral Video Of “Peaceful” Scooty Chase Sparks Outrage In Agra

A viral video of Agra has the netizens and citizens fuming! In the video, a girl is being harassed by “peacefuls”. The timely assistance of UP Police ensures the “peacefuls” are under arrest. However, the incident shows a disturbing trend in Bharat. Let’s unpack the incident and the issues behind it!

A “Peaceful” Scooty Harassment At Agra

Reports state that on 18th August 2024, around 9 PM, a young girl driving her scooty ran out of fuel. She was commuting from Victoria Park to Belanganj, in Agra, by herself. The girl sought help from three men on a bike. Thankfully, she received assistance as they pushed her vehicle to a petrol pump. However, as the two vehicles maneuvered their way, two men – Mohammed Yusuf and Mohammed Feroz, approached the girl on another motorcycle.

Soon these two “peacefuls,” Yusuf and Feroz, began harassing her while trailing the two vehicles.

Despite attempts by the helpful bikers to intervene, they continued their pursuit by hurling derogatory comments and trying to cause an accident. Thankfully, traffic constable Rajiv Kumar witnessed the ongoing incident. And he stepped in to stop the harassers. However, the “peacefuls” were unaware of his police identity. Thus, Yusuf and Feroz threatened the policeman. Realizing the severity of the situation, Constable Rajiv rushed to the Belanganj police station to report the crime.

Agra Police Take Swift Action

Upon receiving the report, the Agra police created a roadblock to apprehend the culprits. Both Yusuf and Feroz were arrested shortly after. Chatta ASP Hemant Kumar confirmed that Yusuf is a resident of Gudri Masoor Khan, while Feroz hails from Heeng Mandi.

However, the victim chose not to file a case as her wedding was just days away, avoiding legal entanglement. Reports state that the police reached out to her again on 19th August 2024, but she maintained her stance. Consequently, Sub Inspector Prachi Chaudhary of the anti-Romeo squad filed the complaint under BNS Section 296. The culprits were presented in court and placed in custody.

The video of the incident went viral on social media on 19th August 2024. Initially, netizens believed that all the men on the bikes were harassing the woman. However, the police investigations clarified that only Yusuf and Feroz were responsible. They specified the three other bikers were helping the victim.

However, there are two instances of Samajwadi party leaders committing crimes against women in UP. A nurse was subjected to rape at the hands of “peacefuls” in UP! These incidents raise important questions about the safety of women on the streets of Uttar Pradesh. The quick action of Constable Rajiv Kumar and the Agra police demonstrated a commitment to justice. Even in the face of the reluctance of the victim to pursue legal action, the police found a way to teach a lesson to the two “peaceful” miscreants. The rapists of the nurse on duty in UP were also swiftly brought to justice. But the question remains why are incidents of women’s safety spiking in a state where Bulldozer Baba rules?

The Rising Threat of Eve-Teasing: A Social Issue

This incident highlights a trend of a “peaceful” attitude of eve-teasing that targets non-Hijabi and non-Muslim girls. The mindset of Kafir women being exploitable non-humans is exacerbated by the toxic masculine mindset within the Muslim Community. Hence, wherever their population grows, women become objectified in the worst way!

Thus, “peacefuls” appear to believe that women who do not adhere to their religious dress codes are “free game.”

This mindset has dangerous implications for Bharat, particularly in areas where political dynamics embolden such behavior. In Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has reclaimed its stronghold. Ever since, they secured 37 seats in the Lok Sabha 2024 election, incidents of eve-teasing and harassment of women appear to be on the rise. Thus, there is a growing perception that their “vote bank” feels emboldened and untouchable.

Hence, the resurgence of the Samajwadi Party in UP  has increased led to an increase in crimes against women; including harassment, assault, and even gang rapes.

These instances reveal the dark side of vote-bank politics, where “peaceful” segments feel in control due to political appeasement. Hence, they resort to inhumane and debased actions as they believe they are shielded from legal repercussions. This emboldening of criminal elements, particularly among youth, calls for a stronger response from law enforcement agencies, social reformers, and the community at large.

Breaking the Cycle Of Crimes Against Hindu Women

The normalization of harassment towards non-Hijabi girls is symptomatic of a broader societal failure. All women need safety from eve-teasing. But here is a deliberate pattern of “peacefuls” targetting non-Muslim women. Hence, there needs to be a concentrated effort to address the toxic masculinity and religious Islamic fundamentalism that fuels these crimes. Communities and political parties must prioritize the safety and dignity of women.

Political parties must place Women’s Security over the short-term gains of securing votes from specific segments of society.

By arresting Yusuf and Feroz, the Agra police have shown swift action. A legal punishment shall remind these “peacefuls” that Hindu women are not “open game”. They shall be deterred from increasing their harassment to the level of heinous crimes. However, apart from societal change, Hindus are required to re-arm their sons and daughters with knowledge and awareness. Teaching self-protection is the only way to ensure 100% security for females in the world. Identifying, societal shaming, and legal punishments are the much-needed trend to curb the “peaceful” trend of crimes against women!
