Udaipur City Under Lockdown As “Peaceful” Student Stabs Hindu Peer

Udaipur is under Section 144 as tensions ignite over a Muslim Student stabbing a Hindu Boy at School. Chaos unfolded in Udaipur as a brutal attack at a school led to a Class 10th Hindu boy being stabbed by his fellow Muslim student. The boys, part of two opposing groups, had a history of mutual animosity.

The Hindu student, Devraj, was critically injured and rushed to the ICU of MB Hospital last night. However, as the news of the attack spread, anger flared across the city. While the Hindu organizations demonstrated outside the hospital, demanding justice and safety for the victim. The “peaceful” violence erupted across the streets of Udaipur! 

Class 10th Hindu Boy Stabbed In Udaipur 

Two groups of boys clashed with each other at Udaipur. Tensions among the youth are common, however, this time one of the groups was a gang of “peacefuls.”  The “peaceful” Muslim boy responded to a verbal fight with “peaceful” violence. Hence, he later stormed the school with knives at hand to confront the Hindu boy, Devraj. The Hindu boy was attacked and stabbed, rendering him injured.

The Muslim boy and his gang fled from the scene.

Reports state that one “peaceful” gang student and his father were arrested.

However, Surajpol police station received the distress call and quickly arrived on the scene, controlling the situation. Devraj’s condition remains critical, further heightening the tension. Hindu activists, showing solidarity, gathered at the hospital before moving towards the Chetak intersection, where they shut down shops and raised slogans condemning the violent act. The police, already strained, were deployed to prevent the situation from escalating further into widespread unrest.

City Set Ablaze – Peaceful Protests Turn Violent

What started as a peaceful show of support soon spiraled into chaos, with sections of Udaipur descending into violence. The “peacefuls” reportedly responded to the Hindu protest by setting parts of the city aflame, adding to the disorder.

The violence led to a complete shutdown of markets in certain areas as Hindu organizations rallied to prevent further destruction and maintain order.

The administration’s hands were full as clashes spread, creating a volatile situation across Udaipur. Section 144 was imposed, banning large gatherings to quell the growing unrest. Police and administration officials worked tirelessly to pacify the situation, calming the demonstrators who were demanding immediate action against the perpetrators. However, the tense atmosphere remained, as the violence threatened to engulf the entire city.

The police’s efforts to control the Hindu protests and curtail Muslim mobs revealed the complexity of Udaipur’s social fault lines. The stabbing incident, far more than just a personal feud, has exposed a deeper and darker undercurrent of unrest in Rajasthan’s famous city.
