The Ukraine-Russia conflict, which began in 2022, has dragged into its third year with no resolution in sight.

While the US arms lobby profits from billions in military aid, Europe suffers the brunt of the economic fallout. Skyrocketing inflation, declining GDPs, and public unrest have pushed the EU closer to breaking point. The sanctions meant to cripple Russia have boomeranged, leaving Europe to grapple with an economic crisis of its own making. All this while, Russia has gained territory beneficial to its future and is running into profits! 

Why Did Russia Help Syria?

  • Over the years, Russia and Iran have deep seeded ties. Iran, as a Shia nation, wants to help Assad in Syria – another Shia government. Thus, the Russians help to Syria comes through their deep ties to Iran.
  • Syria has been a Russian ally since the cold war era. Unlike other Arab nations where Soviet influence waned, Syria remained loyal to Moscow, providing Russia with its most consistent foothold in the region.
  • Russia’s naval base in Tartus, Syria, is its only military installation in the Mediterranean. Losing Syria to the Deep State would mean losing access to the Mediterranean, a critical strategic advantage for Russia’s global military reach. Hence, protecting the Assad regime ensured the survival of this base and Russia’s ability to project power in the region.
  • By supporting Assad, Russia directly countered the US’ efforts to shape the Middle East through regime change – as seen in Iraq, Libya, and the Arab Spring. Moscow viewed these interventions as a part of the US Deep State’s agenda to dominate the region and its natural resources, often at the expense of global stability. Thus, supporting the Assad regime became a way for Russia to assert its power and push back against Western interference.

Global Consequences Of Proxy War In Syria

As Syria once again erupts into conflict, the chessboard is reset. Rebel groups like Al Qaeda, ISIS, and other Islamist factions are challenging Assad’s government. They directly counter the Russian support to Syria’s regime. These terror mongers are being whole heartedly hailed as saviors by the Ecosystem of Deep State echo chambers. The US Deep State is weakened by Donald Trump’s victory.

Thus, it seeks to counter Russian influence and tie up its loose ends in the middle east, with a side benefit of making Trump’s job very difficult after entering office.

Thus, the Syrian war is no longer just about rebels; it is a flashpoint for a world order in turmoil. Putin’s support for Assad demonstrated Russia’s unwillingness to cede influence to the US Deep State. The Deep State has escalated its attack on Putin by helping ISIS and Al Qaeda have billions worth of weapons against Syrian regime.

Russia and India have asked their citizens to vacate the nation as soon as possible. 

The US and its allies are watching Syria burn while they sit on the sidelines. Their goal is to provocate Russia to spread its resources to help a former friend. However, Putin seems ready to call their bluff, he wants to wait out the last few weeks of Deep State in power at Washington. Rerportedly, Assad’s family has evacuated across Russian borders.

The Real Stakes: A World in Flames

The Islamic radicals are set to take over Syria. The Deep State hope that violent take-over will force Russia to resolve its Ukraine conflict. Hence, Syria is burning due to reckless power politics. Hence, it also shows tha worls that the US Deep State is weakened yet defiant. They shall continue to fan the flames of chaos to mint money and influence. And who are the real losers? The people on the ground – whether in Syria’s Aleppo or Ukraine’s Donbas.

For Syria, the game is not just about Assad versus ISIS-supported rebels – it’s about a nation trapped in the crossfire of a larger war, where international players sacrifice human lives for geopolitical gains.

As the chess pieces move, one question looms: how long can the world endure this dangerous game before the board is overturned entirely? Syria’s latest chapter is a stark reminder that its war is not just civil; it’s global. The great game, from Obama’s Arab Spring to Putin’s defense of Assad, continues to shape geopolitics. It also unmasks how the US weilds terror groups across the world like a weapon of destruction!

The consequences of these moves – be they in Damascus or Kyiv – serve as warnings of what happens when Deep State’s power plays take precedence over World Peace and Prosperity.
