Nashik erupted into chaos this Jumma as “peacefuls” opposed the Hindu solidarity rally. The Hindu organizations arranged a Bike Rally and a Market Bandh to show solidarity with Hindus in the ongoing religious persecution in Bangladesh. However, the “peacefuls” elements opposed this rally and the bandh, sparking widespread protests and confrontations.
The Sakal Hindu Samaj was the Hindu organization that called for a district-wide shutdown to protest the anti-Hindu violence across the border. As the rally and solidarity protest gained momentum, the “peaceful” faction and the Hindu groups clashed in Nashik’s Bhadrakali area. The city goes under Section 144 to prevent escalation of the situation. Let’s talk!
Nashik Suffers “Peaceful” Stone-Pelting!
Any clash with the “peaceful” community results in violent stone-pelting.
The same was the case of Nashik where police were called in for intervention. In the wake of the “peaceful” resistance to Hindu solidarity, the Hindu society workers took to the streets of Nashik, urging shopkeepers to close their businesses. This was a way for the shop owners to put persecuted Hindus over profit.
The Hindu shopkeeper responded by ensuring that the normally bustling activity saw a near-complete shutdown.
However, some ‘peaceful’ shops stayed open. This became a bone of contention. In key areas such as Subhash Road and Bitco Chowk, police were deployed to prevent further unrest in Muslim-dominant areas. However, confrontations continued as emotions ran high. Similarly, Market Bandhs were encouraged by Hindu organizations in Jalgaon and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.
Nashik Police Steps In To Control The Escalating Violence
In Nashik, the clashes spilled onto the streets and the tensions reached a boiling point. “Peaceful” stone-pelting erupted when Hindu groups attempted to close down “peaceful” shops that defied the bandh. With Nashik’s Bhadrakali area becoming a flashpoint for violence, police were forced to intervene.
Reports state that heavy deployment of security forces became necessary to disperse the rioters using tear gas and lathi charges.
Despite these efforts, tensions remained high as both sides entrenched themselves further. Numerous individuals sustained injuries from stone-pelting and were hospitalized. Police continued their attempts to restore calm, working through the night to control the rioting factions. However, Hindus showing solidarity seems undigestible to “Peacefuls.” Why are they objecting to a Bandh and Solidarity Rallies over the obvious Hindu genocide in Bangladesh?
A Nation Watches As Situation Simmers Down
The Bangladesh National Hindu Grand Alliance reported over 278 incidents of attacks on Hindus across 48 districts since August 5, highlighting the scale of the violence. The Hindu unity for their brothers across the border is reflected in Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, and other places. The Muslim community is objecting to this display of solidarity under various pretexts. They use offensive speech or blasphemy by the protestors as a cause for resistance.
“Peacefuls” project Islamophobia to hide the reality of their Hinduphobia!
The community cleverly uses their pseudo-minority status while pelting stones at Hindus. The fear that anti-Hindu violence could spread further into India has prompted authorities to strengthen security across the country. Nashik’s growing Muslim population has marked it as one of the most volatile areas.
For now, the streets of Nashik remain tense but under control, with heavy police presence and calls for calm. The city is placed under Section 144 to ensure that the situation stays peaceful rather than “peaceful“! However, the unresolved anti-Hindu violence in Bangladesh makes Bharat a nation on a slow boil. If the “peacefuls” of Bharat do not publicly recognize and denounce the communal nature of the Bangladeshi anti-Hindu violence, then such spurts of violence shall soon be witnessed across the nation. Hence, over Nashik, the city of Bhagwan Ram’s Panchvati, still looms with a long shadow of potential anti-Hindu violence.
