Commenting on the diplomatic row and the recent attack in Brampton. He said, “Let me make three comments. One, Canada has developed a pattern of making allegations without providing specifics. Secondly, when we look at Canada, for us the fact that they are putting our diplomats under surveillance is something which is unacceptable. Third, the incidents (attack on the Hindu Temple) and do look at the videos. I think they will tell you in a way in political space today which has been given to extremist forces there.”
India has repeatedly expressed concerns about the increasing extremism, violence, and anti-India activities occurring in Canada. However, this time PM Modi has made a bold statement on the Canada related controversy. PM Modi had also openly spoken against the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh as well. These statements reflect PM Modi’s strong resolve and commitment to defend Indians globally.
Silence of INDI Alliance…
Meanwhile, BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla raised questions on the silence of INDI alliance in this incident. He said, “The Prime Minister has very categorically and in very specific terms called out the despicable cowardly attack on Hindus and on the temple in Canada. He has even, in a sense, put the Canadian government on notice, saying that they must deliver justice and act as per rule of law.”
Continuing further he added, “While PM Modi is the only leader who speaks categorically, whether it is the Hindus in Canada or in Bangladesh. You find that the INDI Alliance, especially Priyanka Vadra, Rahul Gandhi and others who cry tons and tons for Muslims in Gaza, who alliance tweets and speaks up for Hezbollah and Hamas have gone completely silent when it comes to Hindus in Canada and Bangladesh.”
He added, “It shows that for the sake of vote bank politics, these people will put their principles aside and perhaps they consider these radical elements who are attacking Hindus, as their essential vote bank and therefore they will not open their mouth. They will only question Indian Govt, they will remain silent on questioning these fundamentalist elements.”
