Mamata Banerjee Says “Conspiracy of Ram and Bam to Create Unrest”

Must Read

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has once again put on a dazzling performance. This time not on stage, but on the political battlefield. In a move that could only be described as classic Mamata, she’s found a way to turn a horrific crime into yet another spectacle. She has seemingly brushing the real issue under the carpet.

The Art of Deflection: Blame the BJP and Left

When in doubt, blame the opposition. That seems to be the mantra driving Mamata Banerjee’s latest outburst. Faced with the unspeakable crime of a young doctor’s rape and murder at RG Kar Medical College, one might expect the Chief Minister to focus on ensuring justice. But instead, Banerjee has chosen to wag her finger at the BJP and the Left. She accused them of joining forces to create unrest in Bengal. Because, of course, it’s not the criminals who are to blame. It’s always someone else’s fault.

“The Left and Ram (BJP) have come together with a singular goal. To create unrest in Bengal,” Banerjee declared. Forget the fact that a young woman’s life was brutally cut short. The real tragedy, according to Banerjee, is that her political adversaries are allegedly conspiring against her.

A Mob or a Masterstroke? The Misdirection Game

Wednesday night’s chaos at RG Kar Medical College was nothing short of a disaster. A mob, supposedly unconnected to the student movement, ran amok, causing widespread damage. But rather than addressing the security failures or the deeper societal issues at play, Mamata’s immediate reaction was to point fingers. She proclaimed they were outsiders. She conveniently overlooked the fact that her administration is responsible for maintaining law and order.

Of course, in Mamata’s world, these “outsiders” just happen to be BJP and DYFI (Left) supporters. How convenient that she has “video evidence” to back up her claims, though it’s curious how that footage hasn’t made its way to the public. But why let facts get in the way of a good political show?

Praise the Police, Ignore the Problem: Mamata Banerjee

Amid the chaos, Banerjee found time to lavish praise on the police for their “restraint,” even as they were being attacked and left unconscious. While it’s commendable that officers remained calm, one can’t help but wonder if this entire episode could have been prevented with better governance. But that’s not the headline Mamata wants, so instead, she plays the role of the benevolent leader, quick to shift blame and deflect criticism.

CBI to the Rescue

In what can only be described as a tactical move to wash her hands of the situation, Banerjee announced that the investigation into the violence has been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). She essentially passed the buck while hoping the public forgets who’s really responsible for maintaining order in Bengal.

Justice for the Victim? Let’s Talk About That Later

And then there’s the real issue: the horrific rape and murder of a young doctor. It’s a case that has rightfully ignited nationwide outrage, yet Banerjee’s focus seems to be anywhere but on ensuring swift justice. Sure, she talked tough about the punishment for the crime. But in the same breath, she added, “No innocent should be punished”. It was as if laying the groundwork for yet another round of deflections and delays.

Mamata Banerjee & The Political Circus

So here we are—another day, another drama in Mamata Banerjee’s Bengal. While the circus continues, with accusations flying and blame being shifted, one can’t help but wonder: where’s the focus on the real criminals? Where’s the accountability for the government’s failures? But then again, why would Mamata focus on solving problems when there are political points to score and an ever-growing list of scapegoats to parade?

As Bengal watches this circus unfold, the hope for justice for the victim dims with every passing day, buried under the weight of Mamata’s relentless blame game.
