Bharat’s ‘Democracy Ka Utsav’ gained a new angle when chess legend Garry Kasparov trolled Rahul Gandhi. The Congress cabal wanted to present Rahul Gandhi’s Raebareli nomination as a brilliant checkmate move. The Congress machinery first came up with a ‘going-no-where’ name-dropping video of Rahul Gandhi – The Chess Genius. However, this move fell flat and faced epic-level trolling by Indian netizens. But the icing on the cake came when Garry Kasparov himself took a potshot at the Gandhi scion!! Let’s talk!

In an attempt to elevate Pappu to new and unheard-of heights of political prowess, the Congress made a cringey short video. Here Rahul drew parallels between the complex strategies of chess and the convoluted corridors of Indian politics. With all the grace of a rook in a minefield, Rahul Gandhi implied that he was a non-linear thinker akin to his hero, the legendary Garry Kasparov.

Consequently, this Italian Mama’s Boy thought that he had accomplished a well-executed Sicilian Defense in the political arena.

Apart from his grand chess deliriums, Prince RaGa regaled audiences with chess tales from his childhood. Apparently, he dazzled his very first chess teacher/opponent on the chessboard at the ripe old age of 7. According to his narrative, his victories were so profound that they left adversaries red-faced and seething with rage. The entire video was made to portray RaGa as a young chess prodigy who is just biding the right time to defeat the opponent’s king with his humble moves!

Undeterred by any form of self-reflection, Rahul unleashed a flurry of chess jargon, proudly declaring his fondness for the French defense, the Sicilian dragon, and the King’s Indian maneuvers. Almost as if he believed that by rattling off chess moves, he could magically transpose his political missteps into strategic victories on the electoral battlefield.

Additionally, in a moment of sheer audacity, Rahul Gandhi boldly proclaimed himself the undisputed chess champion among Indian politicians.

Unfortunately, this statement was met with a burst of prompt and uproarious laughter from both chess enthusiasts and the common netizens. Chess lovers took deep affront to RaGa’s manipulative video that defames the game just by association with him. It was as if Gandhi had mistaken this game of strategy for a game of chance!!! Therefore, peals of laughter could be heard online on his every move prompted rib-tickling-chuckles more than a stand-up comedy routine.

Garry Kasparov Trolls Rahul Gandhi!

The internet was having a merry time mocking the Gandhi scion. However, their cacophony of memes and mockery was nothing compared to what the chess maestro Garry Kasparov said! The chess legend delivered a coup de grâce with a well-timed quip that left Rahul’s grandmaster dreams in shambles. With a twinkle in his eye, Kasparov gently reminded Rahul that in the game of politics, one must first conquer Raebareli before aiming for any political summit and citing his chess prowess. This punchline landed fair and square with the finesse of a perfectly executed smothered mate!!!

Soon, the Congress loyalists began haunting the grandmaster’s Twitter page. Their chants echoed with the ‘Mera Rahul Baba’ mentality. Another section of conspiracy theorists began screeching – ‘BJP IT Cell’ – at the internationally renowned chess player. Consequently, the Chessmaster had to send out another tweet to ensure that his joke was taken just as he meant it. Moreover, he simply pointed out that he is a ‘1000-eyes-monster;’ implicating that he ‘sees all and hears all’. It seems he was trying to tell the Congress to stop using his name and his beloved game for cheap popularity in their political strategies.

Curtain Call

The curtain finally falls on Rahul Gandhi’s comedic foray into the world of chess. Hopefully, this election would also spell a curtain call for his political ambitions. However, one thing remains abundantly clear, Indian politics and chess may be games of strategy, but the only game our Pappu excels at is comic relief.

As we bid adieu to this epic tale of political pawn-demonium, let us raise a toast to the undisputed king of Political Comedy! You know who we mean! His power makes a mockery out of the most serious of endeavors of the Congress. Therefore, may Rahul Gandhi’s reign of hilarity continue in politics!
