According to the defense ministry, the DRDO flight test completely satisfied all trial objectives, validating a full network-centric combat weapon system.
In brief
- The test demonstrated the Nation’s Indigenous capability to defend against the Ballistic Missiles of the 5000 km class.
- The adversary Ballistic Missile was detected by weapon system radars deployed on land and sea and activated the AD Interceptor system.
- The Phase-II AD Endo-atmospheric missile was launched and the flight test fully met all the trial objectives.
- Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO for the successful flight.
