Embracing Nari Shakti – A Sanatani Perspective

Must Read

Nari Shakti has always been at the core of Sanatani values in Bharat. The dilution of Sanskriti and the destruction by invasions eroded this concept that lay at the foundation of every Sanatani family. Today the world celebrates International Women’s Day. Unfortunately, the Abrahamic world needs a specific day to worship the strength, resilience, and achievements of a woman. However, in the Sanatani perspective, Dharma is inseparable from the Feminine Divine.

Thus, today let’s explore the essence of Nari Shakti – the inherent power and divinity within women as celebrated in Bharat. Let us reflect on the rich heritage and traditions that empower Sanatani women through millennia!

Nari Shakti – Embracing Culture and Tradition

Sanatani women are blessed with a rich cultural heritage that spans thousands of years. From the vibrant festivals to the traditional attire, Sanatani women are central to the culture and traditions of Bharat. Every aspect of Sanatani culture jubilates in the values of the wisdom, compassion, and devotion present in women. It is most evident in the way Sanatana Dharma worships various Devi Shaktis and Goddesses.

Thus, modern Sanatani women should embrace their Nari Shakti by feeling pride in their cultural and religious roots. Instead of feeling ashamed or pressured to conform to modern Western standards, Sanatani women should embrace their traditions and confidence. Why?

Santani heritage does not limit women to chattels of their husbands. It worships every role that a woman plays.

Despite the predominant patriarchy in the traditional Sanatana family, a woman is placed as the source of strength that connects the whole of society to its heritage and spirituality.

Empowerment Through Devis and Goddesses

Sanatana Dharma legends are proof of the dilution in the role of women have undergone in the last 1500 years. Sanatani Devis and Goddesses personify various aspects of feminine energy and power. Nari Shakti stands tall in Ma Durga’s strength and courage. Women as sources of knowledge are embodied in Ma Saraswati’s roop. As the harbinger of prosperity and abundance, women are worshiped as Ma Lakshmi. The fierce strength of women is worshiped in the form of Ma Kali’s fury.

Each Sanatani Goddess symbolizes the limitless potential and capabilities of Nari Shakti as acknowledged and celebrated by Sanatana Dharma.

Every Sanatani male bows at the feet of feminine energy and invokes its blessings.

Thus, modern Sanatani women must revel in their heritage and tap into their inner reservoirs of strength, intuition, and creativity. Indian women are more than capable of overcoming all challenges that come their way. Why? Because for millennia, women were celebrated as the divine Shakti that drives the universe. Thus, as long as you believe this divine Shakti also resides in the atman of Sanatani women.

Detractors will talk of female feticide, Sati, dowry, rape, and many other malpractices prevalent in Bharat under the guise of traditional Sanatana Dharma. However, these nefarious practices were an Adharmic ritual developed due to circumstances of invasions, loot, and the destruction of the traditional knowledge system. Thus, to embrace Nari Shakti in the Sanatani form, the women of Bharat must first reject such toxic practices. However, they must also understand that these were an anomaly that was never truly representative of Sanatani ideology.

Thereafter, Sanatani women must reject the modern toxic feminism projected as women empowerment. Women in Bharat play diverse roles in the society as well as in families. As mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, and more they imbue purpose into the world. They are the balancing force of life. Therefore, instead of succumbing to the pressures of toxic feminism, women must reject Adharmic Toxic Feminism presented as Modern Wisdom.

But what exactly constitutes toxic feminism? Any practice that repels the natural or traditional roles and values of women is toxic feminism. Excessive alcohol drinking, smoking, inappropriate attire to gain cheap popularity, and debasing intimacy between men and women; all these are toxic concepts that are popularly projected for women to embrace in the name of empowerment. They are nothing but a tool to reduce women to the role of a female. Such concepts destroy the intrinsic feminine energy in a woman and replace it with illogical hate for the world.

Thus, Sanatani women should reject such habits and embrace their multifaceted identities with grace and dignity. They must uphold moral values learned at the feet of mothers and grandmothers, not just for themselves but also for the future generations.

Conclusion

On this International Women’s Day, let Bharat’s women rekindle their Sanatani roots and embrace their divine feminine energy. Let the world witness their transformation into Ambassadors of Sanatani culture and tradition. May Bharat honor the legacy of our Devis and Goddesses by rejecting that malpractice in the name of Sanatana Dharma. Bharat rise as Vishwa Guru should be supported by its men and women embracing their culture, heritage, and Dharma. Let’s cultivate a society where Sanatani women are empowered to thrive, inspire, and lead with grace and wisdom. Additionally, let’s cultivate a society where Sanatni men give women their due place of respect and honor. Jai Maa!
