The Three Laws of Motion: Rishi Kanada Vs Isaac Newton

Must Read

The discovery of the roots may sometimes lead to the discovery of the truth! Such is the case with Bharat!! Long before Isaac Newton presented his three laws of motion in the 17th century, Rishi Kanada had already formulated them in the shlokas.

Rishi Kanad was a pioneer expounder of realism and the founder of ‘Vaisheshik Darshan.’ He presented the three laws of motion in shlokas as the principles that govern motion. His seminal work, Vaisheshika Sutra dates back to at least 600 – 200 BCE. Nearly two thousand years before Newton presented his work! Thus, does Bharat intend to continue to teach its new generations the lie about Newton and His Three Laws?!!!

The Vaisheshika Sutra or Kanda Sutra was a compilation of many works of the Sanatani sage Rishi Kanada. The sage was also sometimes referred to as Rishi Kashyapa. The sutra provides a profound insight into the nature of motion and force. It also houses the knowledge of atoms, gravity, and other important studies of the physical world!

First Law of Motion:

Isaac Newton’s Presentation: An object at rest remains at rest, and an object in motion remains in motion at a constant speed and in a straight line unless acted on by an unbalanced force.

Kanada Sutra: वेगः निमित्तववशेषात किमणो जायते|

Meaning: A change in motion is caused by an force.

Thus, it is clear that this sutra is mirrored by Newton in his first law!

Second Law of Motion:

Isaac Newton’s Presentation: The acceleration of an object depends on the mass of the object and the amount of force applied.

Kanada Sutra: वेगः निमित्तापेऺात किमणो जायते नियतदिक क्रियाप्रबन्धहेतु|

Meaning: An impressed force can cause a proportional change in Motion in the direction of the force.

Thus, it clearly presents the principle that was stated by Newton’s second law of motion. The Sutra establishes the relationship between force and motion. It also emphasizes that the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the force applied.

Third Law of Motion:

Isaac Newton’s Presentation: Whenever one object exerts a force on another object, the second object exerts an equal and opposite on the first.

Kanada Sutra: वेगः संयोगववशेषववरोधी|

Meaning: Any motion is a sum of the action and reaction of forces.

This sutra’s depth is shallowly reflected in Newton’s third law! It embodies that every motion is the sum total of opposing forces. Thus, every action will cause an equal and opposite reaction that will affect the motion of the object.

For more than 500 years, the West has given Isaac Newton the credit for the Three Laws of Motion. He even got a Knighthood by the Queen for the same! But it seems that what he really did was just translate Rishi Kanada’s profound insights. Does that make him a liar?! Maybe!

The sutra is proof that most Western pseudo-scientists used holy Sanatani texts, like the Vaisheshika Sutra, to plagiarize Sanatani knowledge and present as their own! How else would the principles of Rishi Kanad align so coincidently with Newton’s Laws of Motion?? The ancient sage was able to discern the intricate relationship between the physical world and the forces of nature. Thus, it might seem that either the Isaac himself lied about his achievements or the West used him as a stooge to cheat the world. Rishi Kanada’s theories predate Newtonian physics by several centuries. But do Indians learn the truth in their schoolrooms? Are Indian geniuses given due credit??? Never! Bharat is yet to acknowledge its glory to the fullest!

Rishi Kanada and the Vaisheshika Sutra stand as a testament to the depth of knowledge and intellectual prowess of Sanatani Bharat. India’s timeless wisdom was stolen and plagiarized often when it was at its weakest! By acknowledging Rishi Kanada’s pioneering work, Bharat should celebrate its profound scientific legacy. Let’s hope that soon the world shall bow to the might of Sanatana Bharat and the rich wisdom of its sages!
