The Joke Called Pakistan

Must Read

Pakistan has become a joke for the world, they need to be conscious of their choices, otherwise they will be doomed

It is truly a joke. Perhaps no has ever heard of this joke before. A country whose population is experiencing hyper inflation, has little or no income and its state coffers are empty.

This country is Pakistan.

In a hilarious decision, the Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has given a clarion call to Muslims living in his country to rise up against Sweden and protest.

Well, it begs the question why?

Lo and behold, the why’s answer is this-to protest against the burning of the Islamic holy book The Quran by the Swedes who burnt it on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Adha.

In the light of this announcement, organizations like the Islamist Jamaat-e-Islami, Tehreek-e-Labbaik have hit the streets demanding the severing of all diplomatic and trade ties with Sweden.

Why is it a Joke?

The reason why the Pakistani government’s call is a joke is this- who cares what Pakistan thinks. Yes, it is true that Pakistan poses a nuclear arsenal and is the arch nemesis of India.

But, Pakistan is currently a barren wasteland. It has no jobs, no investments, no social stability and is a exporter of terrorism and radical Islamist doctrines.

Why should the world listen to a beggar country like Pakistan.

In the history of humanity, many countries have been poor but respected. Just take the case of India in the 1960s and 1970s and the African countries.

India and her African compatriots were economically weak, but they were and are respected because of their civilizational heritage which preaches tolerance, dissent and respect.

South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission is the best example of this.

However, what has Pakistan given to the world?

Nothing, but terrorism and nuclear sabre rattling.

A Country on the Brink

Pakistan is on the brink.

It is like a country waiting to implode. Decades of Islamization of the educational system, thanks to Zia Ul Haq’s radicalization drive has left that country’s youth in the lurch.

Tilak Devasher in Pakistan-Courting the Abyss has done a brilliant work in highlighting the inherent contradictions of the country starting from the Pakistani thinking regarding Aurangzeb.

Pakistan is currently reeling from a debt crisis and has negligible foreign exchange reserves which is why it is negotiating with the IMF a bailout package.

But they still have the temerity to raise fingers at Sweden.

Faith Alone will not Help

History is testimony to human grit. In the face of great odds societies have worked against odds and emerged victorious. The Japanese are such an example of a martial people.

However, they are not much religious.

But for the ordinary Pakistani faith seems to be everything.

But this is nothing but sheer imbecility. Faith alone will not provide you food, jobs and shelter, you need to work for it.

But alas, Pakistanis barring the minorities have taken a recourse to faith only. They are going to be doomed to fail if they continue on this course of action.

Conclusion

To the ordinary Pakistani, this is my message-stop clinging so much to your faith. Start reading and understanding science, cultivate a scientifically rationalistic mindset. Work hard and stop complaining.

Apply your brain and see it works wonders for you and your doomed country, otherwise Pakistanis will continue to a joke.
