DMK’s latest advertisement is like a misguided missile! On 28th February 2024, PM Modi went to Tamil Nadu to launch ISRO’s second spaceport in Kulasekarapattinam. This second spaceport is a great step for the nation on the whole. Moreover, it promises employment opportunities and progress for the Tamil Nadu state. However, the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and CM Stalin’s gang turned it into a spectacle of self-glorification. Let’s look closely at this party’s antics that show a pro-level, twisted “Rocket Science” Logic!
DMK’s Rocketing Advertisement Blunder
The DMK and the BJP have no love lost among them. The BJP-fronted Tamil Tiger Annamali is challenging DMK’s vote share and popularity in the state. To counter this growing acceptance of Annanmalai by Tamilians, CM Stalin uses every way to slander the BJP as a Central Government. Of late, CM Stalin seems to have taken a page from CM Mamata and TMC’s handbook. They blame the Central government for everything that goes wrong and take credit for any/all central government scheme that benefits the public.
Their latest bid TO UNEARNED GLORY was to take credit came at the ISRO’s spaceport Launch ceremony.
A DMK leader sent out full-page newspaper advertisements. The advertisement was an invitation disguised to lay stake on the glorious event. The advertisement features Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Stalin, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Kanimozhi, and others. However, their attempt to gain unearned honor backfired terribly.
Here are a few things that show their blunders and their desperate delusions:
- The advertisement used an image of a Chinese rocket instead of an Indian one. This move reeks of desperation, bad planning, and a questionable love for China.
- To add insult to injury, the advertisement invoked Karunanidhi and the CM before even mentioning the name of the main invitee, PM Modi.
- The MP Kanimozhi got due space as the elected constituent of Thoothukudi. However, the dynastic party could not hold back from adding Udhayanidhi’s picture to the advertisement. MLA Udhayanidhi has no real contribution to the event. However, when has logic stopped boot-lickers from using every opportunity to gain extra brownie points?
DMK And Its Desperate Delusions
The DMK’s penchant for taking credit for others’ laurels betrays its desperate delusions. Their shameless hijacking of the limelight extends from praising fake ‘farmers’ protests to glorifying Pakistan. Furthermore, their explanations of their actions are riddled with inconsistencies and absurdities. They strive to project themselves as champions of the people. Contrarily, their actions speak of perception management guided by misplaced priorities and twisted agendas.
Once the public hue and cry about using the picture of a Chinese rocket gained momentum, MP Kanimozhi came out in support of the illogical rhetoric.
MP Kanimozhi states that China is not India’s declared enemy.
Thus, it should be OK to use its picture for the advertisement for the ceremony of an ISRO spaceport.
The DMK’s attitude on the issue is clear. Continue to bask in the glory of others’ hard work till you are questioned. Whenever your actions/words are questioned on their misguided agendas, provoke the public using twisted narratives. Unfortunately, all this drama leaves the Tamil Nadu public wondering if CM Stalin has lost his ‘rockets’?!!

PM Modi showered his contempt for DMK’s loose-limbed attitude after the advertisement. He called them blind to the progress of the nation and blind to the follies of their chamchas. PM Modi was very saddened by the ISRO and its scientists were denied their rightful place in the advertisement.
He emphasizes that the advertisement was an indirect insult to the hard work of India’s scientists and their achievements.
BJP leader Annamalai went a step further to state that CM Stalin’s party does not want the spaceport in Tamil Nadu. Hence, they are using such devious means to defame the project as well as glorify China. He was very emphatic about MP Kanimozhi’s blase attitude towards the ‘rocket’ blunder.
CM Stalin neither reprimanded the leader responsible for the faux pas nor did the party issue an apology for the misstep. Instead, the DMK chose to defend the advertisement by stating China’s official status with India. Furthermore, the leader who took out the offensive advertisement thinks its just a small error that should be ignored!!! Thus, it is clear that the advertisement was a way to claim unearned credit while using it as a platform to discredit India’s rising global stature. It may even be an appeal for ‘Chinese Masters’ to look their way for fundings???!

While the nation embarks on a journey toward scientific progress and technological advancement, DMK’s misguided antics serve as a sobering reminder of the perils of political grandstanding. Tamil Nadu must open its eyes wide to understand the loyalties and priorities of CM Stalin and his gang of goons. Hopefully, Tamil Nadu stands awakened by Annamali’s Saffron Wave!!! Consequently, let the 2024 general elections results be served as a slap in the face to DMK’s delusions of glory and deceitful propaganda.
