Reacting To The Letter
BJP spokesperson Priyanka Tibrewal said that Dr. Ghosh enjoyed many privileges and was in the good books of Mamata Banerjee. Continuing further she added, “This is the reason that when a special committee was formed to find out irregularities at RG Kar Hospital after a vigilance report, Dr. Sandip Ghosh was not removed. He was still intact in the college.”
Amid all this, the Court has granted permission for polygraph test on Sandip Ghosh and four others to the CBI. These four doctors reportedly had dinner with the deceased doctor and on the night of the incident.

Earlier, the Calcutta High Court and the Supreme Court have raised their eyebrows about Dr. Ghosh’s response and his re appointment as principal. The Calcutta High Court took a firm stand on the transfer of Dr. Ghosh and had sent him on an indefinite leave. Following which, the Bengal government had to revoke the transfer order of Dr. Sandip Ghosh.
The Supreme Court had also criticised the former principal Dr. Sandip Ghosh, for the delay in filing an F.I.R over the incident. Slamming the Bengal Government, the Court asked, “Who was in touch with the principal of RG Kar Medical College? Why did he delay the FIR? What was the purpose?”
Overall,
The controversies surrounding Dr. Ghosh have brought to light unsettling allegations of corruption and mismanagement during his tenure. While some have accused him of serious corruption charges, others have accused the state government of supporting him.
