SC Acquits Kashish’s Rapist – Injustice For Uttarakhand Hindus
The streets of Uttarakhand are boiling with Hindu outrage as they demand justice for Kashish. This 7-year-old girl was brutally raped and murdered in 2014. However, her family still awaits justice. The main accused, Akhtar Ali, who awarded death sentence by the lower court stands set acquitted by the Supreme Court. For Kashish’s family and for every Hindu who stood with Kashish, this reversal is nothing less than betrayal.
Uttarakhand – The Crime That Shocked Everyone
On 20th November 2014, Kashish had come with her family to a wedding in Haldwani. In the middle of the function, she disappeared. Six days later, her body was found in the Gaula river. The truth broke hearts, the child was gang raped and then killed.
The entire state was furious. People came on the streets, angry crowds even attacked the convoy of then CM Harish Rawat. Uttarakhand demanded justice.

Initial Conviction by the lower court served justice to the family and Gave Hope to the community
Police arrested Akhtar Ali and two others after a long search. In 2016, a special court in Haldwani gave Akhtar Ali the death sentence. For Kashish’s parents and the people of the state, this was a small hope that justice would be done. While the Fast Track POCSO Court in Haldwani had sentenced Akhtar Ali to death, the Supreme Court later acquitted him after 11 years, highlighting discrepancies in evidence evaluation, legal technicalities, and procedural interpretations that often lead to such stark differences between lower and higher court judgments.
Supreme Court’s Decision: Was Injustice Done To The Victim?
After 11 long years, the Supreme Court has now set Akhtar Ali free. The man convicted of raping and killing a 7-year-old has walked out.
For Kashish’s family, this is unbearable. For the people of Pithoragarh, this is betrayal. Thousands gathered in protest — women, school children, and common citizens filled the streets. People are not only angry at the Supreme Court, but also at the Uttarakhand government. They say the case was not fought strongly. Weak arguments, weak preparation and now the killer is free. Once again, politics and negligence have killed justice.
Uttarkahand Reveals a Pattern of Injustice
The question is simple: Why does this always happen when the victim is Hindu?
From Bengal to Rajasthan, from Kashmir to Uttarakhand — Hindu daughters are raped, killed, and forgotten. Their families cry for years while politicians make excuses and criminals walk out smiling.

Akhtar Ali’s release is not just one case, it is part of a dangerous pattern where Hindu suffering is minimized and justice is denied. Kashish’s blood still cries out for justice. Her family waited 11 years- and got nothing.
A 7-year-old was brutally raped and killed, and her murderer has been allowed to go free.
