Islamization of the Himalayas: A step towards Ghazwa-e-Hind

Must Read

The Islamic project of ‘global conquest’ started 1400 years ago. Empires of the middle-east were bulldozed comprehensively for setting up of a new Islamic Raj. With the whole Northern Africa in its grip, Muslim rule stretched till the territories of Europe. Europe was later successful in expelling and halting the further Muslim advance in Western Europe by fighting war against them. Conquest of the Indian subcontinent has been a long cherished dream of the Islamic world. It was never an easy task for them because of the strong philosophical and ideological hold of the Sanatan Dharma over Bharatvarsha. They started their process of winning India in 712 AD when Mohammed bin Qasim first landed on the tracts of Sindh. This raid was followed by multiple other invaders who demolished temples, looted its wealth, butchered the Hindus and converted a large number of people into Islam. Even after so much of atrocities, they were never able to achieve the complete Islamization of India due to the efforts of various bravehearts like Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Guru Gobind Singh who gave up their lives for the protection of this great civilisation. The arrival of the Britishers too turned out to be an interruption in the great project of Islam. Muslims were always good at sensing the situations which could occur in the future. After the 1870s, a section of Muslims started ranting about the political future of the Muslims in India.

Citing the overwhelming Hindu majority, they started demanding a seperate territory for themselves. Congress did very little to resist this idea and as a result, partition became inevitable. India lost 25% of its revered territory but Pakistan was just a compromise for the Islamic forces in 1947 due to their numerical vulnerability against the Hindus.

The Dream:

After the partition, Pakistan linked its state policy with the theory of Ghazwa-e-Hind which is mentioned in the Islamic Hadiths. AccordingAfter the partition, Pakistan linked its state policy with the theory of Ghazwa-e-Hind which is mentioned in the Islamic Hadiths. According to it, Ghazwa-e-Hind is a great battle against the Hindus for the ultimate conquest of Islam over the Indian subcontinent. In the current day and age, there are various facets of Ghazwa-e-Hind in the form of demography jihad, love jihad, land jihad etc. If we observe closely then various parts of India are going through these various modes of Jihad. The demography of Assam has changed drastically over last few decades. Between 1991 to 2001, Muslim population growth came down from 34 per cent to 29 per cent and Hindus growth came down from 19 per cent to 16 per cent. But from 2001 to 2011, the Muslim population growth rate has not declined and remained same at 29 per cent while the Hindu growth has dropped to 10 per cent. If this trend continues then Assam would soon become a Muslim majority state in India. Kerala is facing a similar threat where Islam is the fastest growing religion with 10 per cent more growth rate than the Hindus. Over the years, Kerala has also witnessed the growing incidents of love jihad. Jammu & Kashmir is the classic example where all kinds of jihad converge for a single purpose i.e Nizam-e-Mustafa. The picturesque valleys in the heart of the Himalayas has witnessed the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits and the mass Islamic radicalisation which continuously challenges the integrity of India.

Radicalism in the valley:

The Himalayas is known as the cradle of the Sanatan Indic civilisation. Many of the important Hindu pilgrim sites are located in these snow laden tracts. Pakistan and its allies wants Islam to hijack these areas which are very close to the Hindu identity. They got their
success in Jammu and Kashmir where important sites like Amarnath and Vaishno Devi caves are located. In addition to this religious importance, J&K is very essential for India from the strategic point of view because the enemy can easily attack the northern plains if Kashmir is in its control.

Alarming Assam:

The border state of Assam is the largest in the north east in terms of population. There has been a large influx of Muslims in Assam from the neighbouring country of Bangladesh. The RSS call this as the project of ‘Greater Bangladesh’. Considering the Chinese threat and the fact that the 22 km Siliguri corridor is the only way which joins the north east with the rest of India, this growing demographic shift of Assam could prove costly for India in the near future.

Uncovering Uttarakhand:

The state of Uttarakhand is very close to the Hindu faith. Known as the Devbhoomi, the holy sites of Kedarnath and Badrinath is located here. Mother Ganga- The lifeline of this great civilisation starts her journey from the state of Uttarakhand. Since its creation, the state has been observing massive demographic changes in various pockets. Between 2001 and 2011, Uttarakhand has seen a astonishing rise in the share of the Muslim population from 11.9 per cent to 13.9 per cent, a growth of 2 percentage points. Parts of Uttarakhand which borders western Uttar Pradesh has seen a mind boggling increase of Muslim population. According to the 2011 census, the decadal growth rate of Muslims stood at 33 per cent in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar while the figure stood at 32.48 per cent in Dehradun- the state’s capital. At a time when the state’s overall decadal growth has been estimated to be around 17 per cent, for three districts with a significant Muslim presence to record an abnormally high growth of population points towards the demographic threat which stares Uttarakhand in its eyes. It has been reported that Bangladeshis & Rohingyas are occupying the villages abandoned by the Hindus. The state government needs to look into this and take some severe steps for maintaining the social fabric.

Securing the Himalayas is the need of the hour. If left untreated, the Jihadi forces will march towards Himachal Pradesh and other parts for fulfilling their long cherished dream of a Muslim majority India.
