Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena Leader Sushma Andhare has proven herself to be a repeat offender when it comes to attacking Hindu beliefs. Her latest video goes viral on social media where she makes inflammatory remarks targeting Shri Krishna.
Hindu deities have long been a source of this SS UBT’s hate speeches. And every time her hate-filled words shock and outrage millions. Whether it’s twisting sacred hymns during Ganesh Utsav or making vile statements about Shri Ram and Shri Krishna, Sushma Andhare seems bent on using Hindu mockery as a political tool. Let’s unpack her pattern of derogatory comments, her dangerous game of appeasement, and why Hindus must stand up against such blasphemous attacks on their faith!
Sushma Andhare – Mocking Hindu Deities, Insulting Sanatana Dharma

Sushma Andhare is a self-proclaimed neo-Buddhist. She is also a spokesperson of Shiv Sena UBT. And this SS UBT leader has once again crossed all lines of decency. Once more, her target is Bhagwan Shri Krishna. In a recent viral video, Andhare mocks Shri Krishna, questioning why Shri Krishna hasn’t returned to protect Dharma as promised by him in the Gita. She asks that the world is full of ‘Paap,’ so why has Lord Vishnu’s Krishna Roop not come back to earth to end this tyranny of ‘Paap’. Her vile remark follows this question “Perhaps He is busy dating a Gopika.”
This is not the first time Sushma Andhare has launched these shameless attacks on Hindu beliefs, and her track record shows no sign of repentance.

It’s one thing to debate religious philosophy. It’s another to deliberately twist sacred stories to provoke the Hindu community. Sushma Andhare’s statements are deliberately offensive and meant to shake the faith of her followers in Sanatana Dharam. They are designed to create chinks in the faith of the Hindu devotees. Additionally, they are designed to hurt Hindu sentiments by creating a mockery out of their faith.
Sushma Andhare: A Pattern of Disrespect

Sushma Andhare’s mockery of Hindu Gods is not new and it doesn’t stop with Shri Krishna. During this year’s Ganesh Utsav, she insulted Hindus by distorting the revered Ganesh Aarti into a disgusting parody, singing “Sheikh Mohammed Vitthala.” In January 2024, just before the Ayodhya Ram Mandir consecration, she was arrested for derogatory remarks against Shri Ram. Although the arrest made her apologize, reformation is a distant dream. However, her apology for the remarks for calling Him a “bad husband” and raising questions about His character was never shared with her pet public.
Not content with shaming Shri Ram, she has gone on record to defame Shri Krishna, accusing Him of “molesting women” by stealing their clothes while they bathed.
She is Sushma Andhare, a member of the Shiv Sena party. Just hear what she is saying about Maa Sita & Prabhu Shri Ram.

All of this points to a pattern of deliberate provocation. Sushma Andhare seems more interested in stoking controversy and gaining cheap popularity than in genuine political discourse. And what’s most disturbing? She remains unrepentant and respected in the SS UBT.

If Sushma Andhare and her family have converted to Buddhism, then why this obsession with Hindu deities? Why doesn’t she seek Siddhi from the vast, peaceful teachings of Buddhism? Why this fixation on twisting and maligning Hindu scriptures? Is it because she can’t stand on her own two feet without referencing and distorting the beliefs she claims to have rejected?
Or is it that her rhetoric is aimed at appeasing certain sections – Muslims, Bheem Army followers – by targeting Hindu traditions?

If Sushma Andhare genuinely believed in the tenets of Buddhism, she would focus on spreading peace and compassion. She would seek the wisdom stored in the Buddhist ideology in many Buddhist scriptures. Instead, she chooses the path of divisiveness and hatred. Why does she need to lean on anti-Hindu rhetoric to gain attention? Perhaps it’s easier to insult than to inspire.

This is not the first time SS UBT’s Sushma Andhare has mocked Hindu deities. Her arrest and public outrage do not frighten or stop her hate-filled mockery. Thus, it is high time such speeches and rhetoric get due punishment as designed by law for her behavior. If the judiciary stays mute and blind to her pattern of disrespect, this won’t be the last time she uses public platforms to mount an attack on Hindu Deities and Hindu faith.
Hence, it is high time Hindus demand accountability. Freedom of speech is not a license to insult. Millions of Hindus find solace, guidance, and strength in the teachings of Shri Ram, Shri Krishna, and Bhagwan Ganesh. To belittle these figures and dishonor their aarti or legends is to trample on the sentiments of an entire community.
If Sushma Andhare is serious about her neo-Buddhist identity, let her seek wisdom in Buddhist texts, not Hindu ones.
Let her rise based on the teachings she claims to follow, rather than tearing down the beliefs of others. Maybe then, some form of repentance will emerge from her actions. Until then, Hindus should see her for what she truly is – a provocateur, playing a dangerous game for cheap popularity at the expense of sacred Sanatani traditions.
