HAPPENING NOW: Jagmeet Singh calls for “sanctions on Indian diplomats” and then exits the room to the sound of reporters laughing at him. One yells “that’s not how it works” as her colleagues continue mocking Singh for another disastrous press conference. pic.twitter.com/Y7WqcDRkyw

“We support today’s decision to expel India’s diplomats,” Singh declared, clearly unaware of the basics of international law. “And we’re calling on the Government of Canada yet again to put diplomatic sanctions against India in place, ban the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Network (RSS) in Canada, and commit to pursuing the most severe consequences for anyone found to have participated in organized criminal activity on Canadian soil.”
Naturally, Singh didn’t stay long enough to explain his outlandish suggestion. Instead of facing questions, he walked out, leaving reporters baffled. One of them even muttered, “That’s not how it works.” But hey, at least Singh got his moment in the spotlight, right?
RCMP Adds to the Chaos
Singh’s bizarre proposal came a day after the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) held their own press conference on 14th October. With a flair for drama, the RCMP accused India of involvement in violent crimes and homicides in Canada. They claimed that Indian diplomats were orchestrating these acts and gathering intelligence on South Asian Canadians. Sounds thrilling, doesn’t it? Unfortunately for them, they couldn’t produce any actual evidence to support their blockbuster allegations.
In an awkward twist, the RCMP admitted that India wasn’t targeting the Sikh community as a whole, but only pro-Khalistani individuals—essentially confirming that Canada has let Khalistani radicals run wild on its turf. So much for keeping secrets. Their attempt to shift blame backfired spectacularly, exposing their own internal mess.
India’s Response: Total Disbelief
India wasted no time in rejecting these ridiculous claims. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has hurled accusations since September 2023, but has yet to show India even a shred of proof. Trudeau, it seems, enjoys spinning tales more than dealing with facts. India, having repeatedly asked for evidence, found themselves dealing with vague insinuations instead of hard proof.
Singh, ever the opportunist, used the RCMP’s drama-filled statements as an excuse to launch his own attack on the Modi government. But with no evidence on the table, Singh’s grandstanding fell flat, drawing mockery from anyone with a grasp on reality.
Jagmeet Singh’s Misguided Crusade
Never one to miss a chance at political theater, Singh eagerly joined the fray. “It confirmed some of the background of how we got here,” Singh triumphantly declared, as though the RCMP had cracked open a secret dossier. He then accused Indian diplomats of coordinating with “criminal elements that have gone on to shoot at Canadian homes, shoot at Canadian businesses, and kill Canadians.” Apparently, Singh’s scriptwriters took creative liberties when writing his speech.
In true melodramatic fashion, Singh framed himself as Canada’s ultimate defender, saying, “I love this country,” just shy of bursting into the national anthem. Singh might have thought his speech would inspire Canadians, but instead, it highlighted his total detachment from reality.
Singh’s Fantasy World
In the real world, international relations don’t work like Jagmeet Singh imagines. His call for sanctions on Indian diplomats felt like something ripped from a poorly written political drama. The journalists’ laughter said it all: Singh’s proposal wasn’t just ill-informed—it was downright laughable.
As Canada continues to struggle with Khalistani elements, and India refuses to entertain baseless accusations, Jagmeet Singh remains lost in his own diplomatic fantasy. Facts, evidence, and realpolitik don’t matter to him. For the rest of us, though, his latest antics serve as a reminder: if there’s one thing Singh knows how to do, it’s provide comic relief in the midst of a diplomatic crisis.
