I guess the whole India is furious on the Kolkata Gangrape Case. And there’s no reason to not to do that. When Nirbhaya rape case happened on 16th December 2012, the whole India gathered unitedly and protested for that gruesome and heinous act. At that time, people thought that things will change eventually. But after 12 years, the road led us to that exact same haunting crossroad, where we Indians stood before. So, what to do?
We often seen how civic sense of Indians works. When it comes to “caught red handed” they will be like, “Oh, we don’t know the rules. We poor people of India, how could we know the rules, etc.” but when it comes to tax evasion, helmet rules in city, and such kind of laws, they will be the advocate of best of its kind. Force is the only way for how Indian civic sense can be changed. Yogi model is an excellent example of that. But these are the part of government. What we can do? Well,
1) “Raise your children wisely. Good touch bad touch” trainings are given to children which is a good step to stop and raise red flag for child abuse. But don’t you think that children should also been taught about “where you shouldn’t touch”? The moral science is a subject you need to taught at child level. Because your child will be exactly how you raise them.
2) It’s not that females are safe before and now the vultures are set free. Self-defence should be taught to everyone. Indian women are no abla nari at all! We belong to that land where great Lakshmi bai was battled, where Naayika devi faught ghori, where ahilyabai holkar was born! This bollywood and their fairy tale love stories have destroyed the mind of youth. Instead of being fan of such bollywoodiyas, be fan of nation builders. Join durga vahini and broke the ball of the rapist by yourself! Men will protect you but men are responsible for the attacks. Especially after Islam and Porn, relations are dumped in dustbin by the culprits. So, your brothers are going toprotect you but be self-sufficient enough to break the balls of the rapist.
3) Teach your child about dharm. Dharm and religion are not the same. Unless your child doesn’t know about the dharm how they’ll know what and how to do certain things. If not all, at least teach them about Mahabharat and Ramayan. Both of these dharmgranth are best example of how to treat women. Ramayan shows that, women like Surpankha and Tadaka are not “sannari”, and Sita and Shabari are “pujniy naari”. Ramayan shows what to do “ku-nari” and how to respect sannari. How can we forget Ahilya who was disrespected by almost everyone but Ram gave her respect back. Be Ram basis on which naari you encounter.
The last point should be taught very carefully. The feminine movement has created atmosphere and law which generally supports women. Of course, being the victim in most cases but there are examples when these laws are being misused. How can we forget false rape allegation by Jasleen Kaur on Sarvjeet Singh. That man was labelled as “national pervert” just on the basis of allegation. Even recently, male was raped by woman. I am not generalising it. But things like this happens and laws can be misused. That’s the reason why I was saying that taught moral science on the basis of dharm very carefully. Because such things can be prevented by this.
Good and bad, both co-exist in the universe. You can’t demolish the bad; else you don’t respect the good. But it’s our duty that bad didn’t turns to evil. It’s in our hand to prevent the bad and maintain the good. Raise your voice when bad is ready to take form of evil, but once evil defeated maintain the good. That’s what dharm dand says!
