Cannibalism by a West Bengal “Peaceful”

Must Read

In Mamata Banerjee’s West Bengal, the unheard and unseen are always possible. In the name of secularism, new horrors emerge daily in the “peaceful” community. However, the latest one shall make even horror filmmakers hesitate.

A “peaceful” man named Bapan Sheikh bit off and ate his wife’s nose.

‘Why’ you ask? Because it was “too beautiful.” This isn’t just domestic violence- it’s a grotesque manifestation of what happens when women are reduced to property. When male obsession and control are glorified – female beauty becomes consumable!

From Nose to Nihari: “Peacefulness” + Alcoholism in West Bengal

The disturbing case is from Shantipur, Nadia district of West Bengal. However, it doesn’t just expose a man’s madness. It shines a spotlight on a darker reality festering quietly under the politically correct silence. It highlights a culture where women are viewed as possessions, not people.

In many Sharia-driven interpretations, a woman is to be “guarded,” “covered,” “controlled,” and owned.

This sentiment echoed time and again in regressive sermons and personal law defenses. Hence, in the minds of “peaceful,” a woman gets reduced to lesser than human! Madhu Khatun married Bapan Sheikh for 9 years in a love marriage. They have an 8-year-old child together. He often complimented her beauty, especially the nose. The woman said he both loved and feared her good looks. Reportedly, he threatened to throw acid on her face once. However, what happened on May 2 in West Bengal defies logic. While Madhu slept, Bapan – possessive, paranoid, and allegedly drunk – bit off her nose and swallowed it.

The sheer savagery of the act is enough to trigger outrage.

Why such “Peaceful” Cannibalism Emerges from West Bengal?

Let’s be clear: Islam doesn’t teach men to eat their wives. But in the Indian subcontinent, the street version of religion is prevalent. The WhatsApp mullah doctrine has created a warped lens where controlling a woman is not only accepted but encouraged. Muslim men are taught from childhood that a woman’s voice, laughter, ankles, or beauty must be hidden.

As per them, a female’s beauty corrupts society, thereby, equating beauty with evil.

Moreover, the Subcontinental “peacefuls” desire ownership of women as a divine right. What do you get when you mix this toxic theology with poverty, alcoholism, and unchecked entitlement? You get a Bapan Sheikh. A man who loved and married a woman for her beauty. Later, the same love of beauty’s obsession manifests in his mind as his wife’s nose. And his manic love turned into obsession gives him the right to “consume” his wife! As if her pain was his right. And in West Bengal, where TMC prefers to be communally sensitive, such madness festers without resistance.

Final Thoughts

This isn’t just a domestic horror story. It is the logical extreme of a deeply patriarchal, dangerously permissive culture. A depraved “peaceful” mindset sees women not as humans but as chattel. When obsessed “peaceful” husbands turn cannibals, when acid threats become casual pillow talk, when beauty becomes a reason for mutilation – you don’t need to blame ISIS.

The fault lies in the deviant misinterpretation of a doctrine that is peddled to the “peacefuls” in the name of religion!

The question is not why this happened. The question is how many more? While the West Bengal police takes action, the “peaceful” community must introspect deeply. They must seek answers to if Madhu Khatun was “consumed” to an ideology behind the insanity!
