A disturbing case has emerged from the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, where a Dalit woman, Pooja Devi, was murdered by her husband, Mohammad Alam. This incident has brought to light once again the dangers of love jihad! To top it up, the Bhim Army is maintaining their silence to appease Muslims!
Grisly Details Emerge
According to reports, Mohammad Alam, a 35-year-old resident of Hapur, murdered Pooja Devi, his 33-year-old wife. He then disposed of her body in a canal. The crime came to public attention after Swati Goel Sharma shared details on social media. It is alleged that Alam also sexually harassed Pooja’s minor daughter from a previous marriage.
Bhim Army Accused of Inaction
Sumit Kumar, the brother-in-law of the deceased, revealed that he is associated with the Bhim Army, a Dalit organization led by Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad, also known as Ravan. Kumar expressed his frustration with the organization, accusing it of not supporting the grieving family due to political considerations. He suggested that the Bhim Army’s silence was motivated by a desire to not alienate Muslim voters ahead of the upcoming Ghaziabad Sadar assembly bypolls.
Pooja’s 11-year-old daughter from her first marriage disclosed that Alam had also subjected her to sexual harassment, further adding to the gravity of the situation.
Forced Conversion and Murder Bhim Army
Reports show that Alam coerced Pooja into converting to Islam and performing Nikah six months before the murder. Already married with four children, Alam did not want to maintain a relationship with Pooja. On 24th July, the police registered a case and arrested Alam, who confessed to the crime. However, authorities have not yet recovered Pooja’s body.
Alam and Pooja lived together for at least four years. Pooja, having conflicts with her first husband, chose to live with Alam, which ultimately led to her tragic demise. Angered by Pooja’s insistence on staying with him, Alam allegedly strangled her with her dupatta and disposed of her body in the Ganga canal. He then attempted to avoid suspicion by filing a missing person report.
Sister’s Efforts Lead to Breakthrough
The case gained momentum when Pooja’s sister, Poonam, approached the authorities and reported her sister’s disappearance, prompting a deeper investigation into the matter.
This tragic incident raises significant concerns about the exploitation and abuse of vulnerable women. This is specially the case in matters of love jihad!
