Beyond his divine nature, Shree Ram’s life was marked by  numerous challenges: 

  • Exile to the Forest (Vanvas) : Forced into exile for  fourteen years due to his father’s promise to Queen  Kaikeyi, Shree Ram accepted his fate happily,  prioritizing his father’s honor. 
  • Separation from Sita Mata: Imagine the sorrow of  being separated from his wife, Sita Mata, during their  exile. A prince without a kingdom, wandering in the  forest, faced the additional agony of separation from  his beloved. 
  • Battle against Ravana: Despite having a relatively  small army of Vanar Sena Shree Ram fought  courageously against the powerful Ravana and his 

vast forces. Seeking divine guidance through Shakti  Puja, Shree Ram emerged victorious.

  • Social Pressure and Expectations: Upon returning  to Ayodhya, Shree Ram faced another challenge. His  subjects questioned Sita Mata’s purity, and, as king,  he prioritized their concerns over personal happiness,  upholding his duty to his people. 

CROSSING THE SEA OF GOD (SAMUDRA) 

When Shree Ram sought to cross the sea to reach Lanka, he  prayed to the Sea God, for passage. Initially, there was no  response. Demonstrating his divine strength, Shree Ram prepared to dry the sea. This incident teaches us: 

Balance: Always calm but assert yourself when needed.  Balance calmness with strategic action. Patience has limits;  know when to assert.

Sambuk ‘s killing : A Critical Perspective 

The narrative of Sambuk killing is not mentioned in either  Valmiki Ramayana or Tulsidas’ Ramcharitmanas, the  authoritative texts of the Ramayana. Critics argue that Shree  Ram unjustly killed Sambuk, a Shudra for performing penance. But , the Ramayana portrays Shree Ram as a compassionate  king , be friendly Nishad Raj and highlighting his humility and  empathy. He ate the berries already tasted by  Sabri,demonstrating his gracious nature .
