On March 6, 2026, a shocking event took place at the Calcutta University convocation. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee committed a massive breach of protocol. The law clearly states that the Chief Minister must be present to welcome the President of India upon arrival. Instead, Mamata Banerjee arrived late. When people demanded answers, Banerjee gave a very weak excuse. She blamed heavy city traffic and a prior cabinet meeting. Legally and logically, this excuse makes no sense. When the President of India travels, the police clear the entire route.
Every single minute is planned in advance. Therefore, blaming local traffic is just a fake excuse to hide her ego. A Chief Minister simply cannot treat the President’s strict schedule like a casual joke.

In the past, she skipped important national meetings by making silly excuses like “mic issues.” She constantly fights with central agencies to protect her power. This action is a direct insult to the tribal community. President Murmu is a proud tribal leader and a strong symbol of Sanatan unity. By making her wait in a car like a common citizen, Mamata Banerjee showed how much she disrespects these communities.
Her government has a clear history of doing this. They give special allowances to minority clerics and allow illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators to stay. But at the same time, they constantly ignore Sanatan festivals and tribal pride. This event fully exposes her true, divisive agenda.
