Unknown men have claimed another head – this time it’s a Jaish-e-Mohammed madman calling himself Ghazi Baba. This top JeM commander stands accused of being part of the terror hub that planned attacks on the Parliament, bomb blasts, and kidnappings in India.
The story of Ghazi Baba, Jaish-e-Mohammed’s terror kingpin, is written in the blood of innocent Hindus. Hence, he took on the nom de guerre of “Ghazi” – meaning killer of Hindus! Let NaPak terrorists beware: even their legendary terrorists aren’t invincible!
The Dark Resume of Ghazi Baba
Mushtaq was better known by his war name Ghazi Baba. However, he took on this name after the original Ghazi Baba was neutralized in 2003. Mushtaq didn’t just lead, he helped plant seeds of terror against India. He may have stood behind the team that masterminded the 2001 Parliament attack in New Delhi.
Mushtaq led car bomb blasts and oversaw murders of Indian civilians.
He ran networks across the Line of Control, used safe havens in Pakistan, and shifted hideouts constantly.
Thus, earning the status of “most wanted” and “operational commander” of JeM! His last video showcased him holding two rifles, pledging more terror and murder to come. Consequently, his death has shocked Pakistan’s terror network’s core.
The Unknown Men: Who Pulled the Trigger?
So, what happens when Ghazi Baba-type figures emerge again? When reports say he was “neutralized by unknown gunmen at Chamkani, near Peshawar;” Indians smell more than just victory – they smell vengeance. However, not all “Unknown Men” killings may come from a pro-India POV, although Bharat benefits from their actions!
“Unknown gunmen” is code – It may hide the uncomfortable truth, while delivering spectacle.
Let’s unpack what it may sometimes imply:
- NaPak State-backed execution disguised: Pakistan’s intelligence agencies or rogue elements may eliminate someone too hot to handle, then wash their hands clean by blaming “unknowns.”
- Internal jihadi faction war: Ghazi-type leaders often amass power, money, and followers. Rivals within JeM or aligned networks might see them as liabilities — and decide to cut them off.
- False claims or disinformation: Sometimes, murders are claimed just to sow confusion. A “Ghazi Baba” may be declared dead, while his false persona is kept alive in propaganda. Or the name is reused.
If this report is true, “unknown men” might be anybody – not necessarily a friend of India. However, it does mean that Bharat not worry about this terror-minded-peaceful from Pakistan!
What India Should Read Between the Lines

Don’t let the body headline be the final scene. Every turn in the Ghazi story signals danger and opportunity. Here’s what India needs to do:
- Verify the death, physically and forensically: Ghazi Baba could be a false story planted to make Indian authorities let their guard down.
- Watch for reprisals: When a commander dies – especially in an “unknown gunmen” style hit – NaPak army starts an anti-India campaign. Usually, they help JeM to strike quickly to reassert strength, either in Jammu & Kashmir or through cross-border terror.
- Trace the power vacuum: Leadership gaps attract ambitious militants. Who steps up after Ghazi? Will the next one be more radical, more brutal, or more externally linked (Pakistan’s ISI, etc.)?
Ghazi Baba – Endgame or Intermission?
Gruesome jobs, master plans, high politics – the name “Ghazi Baba” has had more than one owner. However, their work pattern and terror intent remain the same. While every Ghazi Baba is hoorified, a new one may soon replace him to control, message, or leverage the legacy of terror.
India should treat this not as closure but a checkpoint – Because removing a commander doesn’t end the terror.
The terror infrastructure in Pakistan is flourishing — training, funding, and reaping new crops of terrorists.
While every dead terrorist means many lives saved, the real victory is dismantling the terror hubs in Pakistan. Ghazi Baba’s death might be dramatic and needed. But for India’s peace, the end of Pakistan’s terror regime under military support must be the goal!
